Rating: Summary: Is this even Star Wars? Review: The only reason I gave this book two stars was because it was a trip to the Star Wars universe. This book was terrible. The only book in the series that is worse is "Children of the Jedi". All the characters that we know and love have been destroyed. Luke, Luke Skywalker, the most powerful Jedi MASTER to ever live becomes a whinny little whim who is almost tempted to the dark side! I thought that Kevin J. Anderson already had Luke overcome those temptations. Leia, Princess Leia Organa Solo, Chief of State and President of the Senate for the New Republic turns into a bounty hunter named Lelila?! Han, General Han Solo, becomes a worthless boozer who comes within an millimeter of cheating on Leia! Chewie, the mighty Wookie who would gladly give his own life to protect Han and his family, becomes a CRIPPLE who limps around throughout the whole book. C-3PO, the always stuck-up droid we love, turns into the perfect puppet. He never speaks unless spoken to, always answers correctly, and never rambles. The new characters are completely worthless. Hethrir, a dark Jedi who just so happens to be an alien. This wouldn't be so bad if McIntyre didn't say that the Emporer loved him. I thought the Emporer hated all aliens! Why would he let Vader train one in the Force? And why is Hethrir so annoying and not villianous enough? Dark Jedis are supposed to be completely evil and veil and have LIGHTSABER DUALS!!! The most evil thing Hethrir does is make the twins eat bad food. Waru, I mean come on. What is this thing!!! Everything about him is pointless and stupid. Oh no, he has Anti-Force! I'm real scared. Yeah right. In short this book wasn't worth my time or money. Please, I beg you, stay away from it and don't ruin your view of Star Wars.
Rating: Summary: It is very funny, But it is very hard to understand it Review: I think this book is very enjoyable for kids age. It needs to be a bigger book to read, it only took me two weeks to finish it. I think the cover could be a bit cleaner and shine and in a plastic case so the book doesn't get ripped to pieces.
Rating: Summary: Good Book Review: I loved it. I couldn't put it down. I admit that it was a little weak with no lightsaber duels etc.. but I liked how there was more on the Solo kids who I love. I don't think they are written about enough. so I loved to be able to read more about them. I got board quickly with the Wroug stuff. And usually skipped over the sections with him and Luke and Hans adventure cause that was very weak but I like the rest.
Rating: Summary: Do NOT read this book.... Review: The whole point of Hethrir kidnapping them and then giving only Anakin special attention and to Waru made absolutely NO sense. He does this and brings him to Waru supposedly all because he's Vader's grandchild. Umm, Hellloooo, aren't Jacen and Jaina his grandkids too? What's so special about Anakin that he gets all this time in the spotlight? Why weren't Jacen and Jaina treated the same way he was? The whole thing is stupid. Luke was a whiner, even worse than usual, a total wimp. This book's a pile of nonsense.
Rating: Summary: The stuff didn't mesh well Review: This book would have been okay in any other universe but it doesn't mesh in SW. Especially Waru what was Bantam thinking when they allowed this to be published? The characters need work.
Rating: Summary: This one was pretty bad... Review: Did Vonda even know anything about the SW universe before she wrote this book? The charcters are completely wrong, the bad guys are just plain annoying. And those kids! Please tell me where you have ever heard kids use such stupid psudo-childish language. Their dialog reminded me more of new parents trying to talk "baby talk" to their newborn. How come Leia just gets a headache, but Luke is ready to bite everyone's heads off? And for some reason, I just could not picture Waru in my mind. I couldn't visualize what he looked like! And that Leia/Lelia stuff...did that get annoying quick! Not a high point in SW novels, that's for sure! Believe me, you can definatly skip this one, as it has nothing important to the SW universe in it at all
Rating: Summary: Stupid younger Jedi's what are they thinking? Review: I liked the way the older characters (Luke, Leia, Han, etc..) were portrayed in this book but I didn't like the new generation of Jedi. Something about Jacen, Jaina and Anakin bugs the crap out of me. They're just a little too perfect for my taste. I mean Leia and Han would get in big trouble alot of the time so what's wrong with their kids? The kids wear little angel halos over their heads and act almost perfect. Sure they get into a little mischief sometimes. (What kid doesn't?) but they don't get in near enough trouble and danger for my liking.
Rating: Summary: Very boring Review: I am sorry to say this as a big Star War's fan but this book definitely sucks. The plot is soooo boring that I could have almost died. It was a waste of time to read it and you won't miss anything if you skip it.
Rating: Summary: Doesnt Have the Star Wars Magic! Review: It could Have been so much better! The idea was great but the writing stunk! Doesnt have the Star Wars magic!
Rating: Summary: Good book :) Review: This happen to be the first star wars book I had read. I liked it then, and I still like it now. It wasn't the best, I'll admit, but I still like it!
