Summary: Excellent Treatise of the Demonic Agenda!
Review: "Alien Encounters" along with Paul Christopher's book "Alien Intervention" are two of the best books written from a Christian perspective regarding the UFO phenomenon! I highly recommend both these books to anyone interested in uncovering the real force behind the UFO phenomenon -- which includes a demonic agenda! Let the truth be heard!

Summary: attack on dispensationalism
Review: Chuck Missler's insight into the scriptures is incredible. For years I drove around town with Chuck Missler tapes in my car. I've read and studied the Bible avidly since I became a Christian in 1977. I did not need Chuck's input to ponder the connection between the UFO phenomena, alien abductions, the New Age etc. to realize Satan was up to something big. I knew from the bible that a great deception was going to take place so that people would believe a lie. Listening to Art Bell, (I like to see what the enemy is up to) confirms that there are myriads of people that have been set up to accept an alien deliverance. They have an explanation as to what happened to millions of Christians. We've been relocated so that the New Age can be implemented without us fear mongers. Chuck Missler's book should be required reading for everyone who takes the Word of God literally and has not stolen God's promises to Israel for the Church and who is looking for that blessed hope, The Lord

Jesus Christ, to take us out of here.

Summary: Interesting Viewpoint
Review: This book illustrates just how the UFO phenomenon is linked to Demonology and the Occult. Well argumented and a good approach.

Also highly recommended: "Alien Intervention: The Spiritual Mission of UFOs" by Paul Christopher

Summary: Do you know the truth from a lie?
Review: A very intelligent man once said, "Read the Old Testament like those for whom it was written - The Jews." Missler does a very good job of just that. Having at one time been a "New Age" devotee, I am thrilled to find this literature. For my fellow reviewers who find this book to be "stretching the truth" or part of a "propaganistic" agenda, I encourage you to study the old testament like a person of Jewish faith, and then judge the truth for yourself. Genesis and Revelation are more closely tied than an uneducated gentile can comprehend, and Missler's illustrations are indeed very valid. As a science fiction fanatic, and a "technology junkee," I must profess profound thankfulness to authors such as Missler (under the guidance of Jesus), who have once again pulled me "closer into the fold." Jesus said that there will be many "false prophets who will appear and decieve many people," and that "false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to decieve the elect." In our technology addicted society, anyone who provides us answers or tempts us with the offer of "knowledge," (much like the serpent in the Garden of Eden) will receive our admiration and trust. Have you ever asked yourself, "How can we possibly unite under one person? We are just too different to agree." But what if that "person" came from the stars, "explained" our Bible, solved our problems, and claimed to either "know" or in fact "be" Jesus Christ - would we follow? Would you? (If you think I am reaching for this, read any New Age text on aliens.) This book leads to much thought and should be read by all. I can only suggest that you know Satan and his disguises, but first you must know yourself - for he knows you very well.

Summary: An Excellent Read
Review: Missler and Eastman's book is an excellent look at the UFO phenominon from a Christian point of view. They begin by spending several chapters establishing that there is something more to many (though not all, of course) of the UFO sightings and abduction stories. Only after they have done this do they go on to analyze the problem and propose an End Time scenario.

At that point, the book is very typical of Missler's work. For those of you unfamiliar with him, that means that he goes well beyond the beaten path. The authors propose some rather fantastic scenarios as to how UFOs might play into the fulfillment of End Time prophecy. They do so with a kind of wild abandon, but at the same time backing up their assertions with Scripture and softening them with a wry sense of humor. Many will be put off or even offended (for various reasons) as to their conclusions, but even if you think you will be one of those, the book is well worth reading anyway. At the very least, you will find your perceptions stretched, your mind challenged, and (if you are fair) yourself having the need to dig into Scripture to try to disprove the authors' conclusions.

If you are not a Christian but are interested in UFOs, I suggest that you pick this book up anyway. Again, you may not like the author's conclusions, but you won't be bored.

If you enjoy this book or this subject, I would also recommend UFO: End-Time Delusion by David Allen Lewis and Robert Shreckhise.

Summary: Before you swallow Missler's claims...
Review: I read this book a couple of years ago after hearing Missler speak at a local Calvary Chapel. I bought the book because I have always had a small interest in UFO's and Missler's presentation was somewhat interesting. Yet during the presentation he casually accused the Reformers of the 16th century of not going far enough in their theology and "discovering" dispensationalism. He also made bizarre claims of the Niphilim which no theologian has EVER made in the history of the church.

After you buy this book, purchase Richard Abanes' book, END-TIME VISIONS. Abanes exposes Missler's use of white-supremacist literature and Missler's inflated claims about his (Missler's) credentials.

Summary: The Best Christian Treatment on UFO's (so far)
Review: This is the best (and one of the only) Christian treatise upon the dark and nightmarish occurrences of "alien" abduction that I have seen so far. Chuck Missler brings out some of the most satisfying arguments concerning the origin of these "aliens" as inter-dimensional spirits and not extra-terrestrial creatures, how they can manipulate matter and shape-shift - all to the end of their ultimate deception of the fallen children of Adam. Just as the Triune God has a plan of salvation for the human race so does the collective hoard of fallen angels have a plan - of deception - which has been slowly unfolding over many millennia and is only now coming to its final conclusion.

Missler treats so many crucial points from a Biblical perspective concerning the differing aspects of Ufology, but I have given his book only four stars because though Missler and Eastman have done so well on exposing the hidden "alien" agenda of deception, they do fall very short on the matter of prophecy and how this deceptive plan will unfold in the future. Missler and Eastman dogmatically hold to what is known as "Dispensationalism" as their system of Christian interpretation of the Bible. This system of interpretation has many problems, especially within the realm of Bible prophesy. I was very disappointed in their teachings upon the future unfolding of the "alien" deception and wish that they would have stayed away from the whole matter. For this reviewer believes that they have caused harm to the average Bible student from their faulty prophetical theories. It is a shame that the majority of prophetical teachings in the Christian church today are from this "Dispensational" position. What measure of good could be added to the topic here treated of if only the prophetical portions of this book were more Biblically in line with the Bible! May God send someone to treat this most critical issue from a more biblically balanced view of prophecy! Before it is too late.

Besides the matter of prophecy, the whole of the book should be REQUIRED READING for every Christian and Non-Christian alike. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Summary: To Incredulity...and beyond!
Review: Chuck Missler is quite an interesting person. A former intelligence author for the US military, he now tries his hand at being a self-styled "prophecy expert." His long history of conspiracy mongering serves him well in this regard (as Amazon doesn't allow the posting of URLs, you will have to search for his site yourself to see what I mean.) The book has more in common with Roddenberry than with Revelation. The notion that aliens are behind much of demonic activity is simply insupportable from Scripture. And the logical leaps made in this text border on the ludicrous. Those who avidly absorb the writings of Jack Van Impe, Tim LaHaye and Hal Lindsey will love this book. Thinking Christians will be appalled that such stuff could get published.

Summary: Public will scoff - obsessed Christians will adore it
Review: Having been raised in the protestant Christian genre (with a father who has been a Lutheran minister for 60 years), I learned the Bible by heart. Nonetheless, I get really exasperated by Christians who try to shove and stuff and coerce every single enigma within (and perhaps outside) of third dimensional reality into their little Christian dogma (which differs depending on sect, of course). This book is a tiresome bore for anyone who locates God and Spirituality between the "thou shalts", between the fear and anger and judgement and future doom/gloom orgy of the fundamentalist Christian. DOGMA RULES: stuff all of reality into it, no matter what it takes. Sacrifice yourself to it. And if a pesky alien shows up, blow his little head off, since he's bound to be a minion of Satan, since he sure ain't gonna look like any Southern Baptist I ain't ever met! Seriously, the rather obsessed Christian will find this book a great treat, since it will validate their faith. I can hardly wait for Missler to take on quantum physics and tie it to Christ's death and resurrection. Any objective sane logical person will roll their eyes at this one, perhaps laugh at being suckered into the first few chapters, only to learn at the end that it's all being the equivalent of a revival meeting, where you are called upon to come to the front and turn your life over to Jesus to escape those evil aliens! Can you imagine? Now aliens are being used as plot devices to bring the "unsaved" to their knees. I suspect the general public would prefer to turn to something more rational, as befitting the end of the 20th century, not the end of the 10th century.

Summary: Potential explanation for a curious mystery
Review: The author takes on the subject of UFO sightings and attepts to take a scriptural viewpoint on their existence. This is notable, for few scholars have attempted to analyze this phenomenon. At heart of the question is "what is their purpose?" "Their" of course, being the entities responsible for the visual intrusions of our world, as well as the many reported abduction scenarios. Missler takes a close examination of abductee reports, sightings, and the like and shows that there is ,indeed, a common thread that results a message, and one that should interest any believer of the Bible. Even if you are not a believer, you will heartily benefit from the information in this book, and if you have the slightest interest in the question of UFO's, you will be much the wiser for reviewing this material.
