Summary: Wonderful!
Review: Owlsight was an excellent follow-up to Owlflight. The characters were well fleshed out, and the story line was wonderful. I do wish we could get away from barbarians, though.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Another Masterpiece!!!
Review: I absolutely love this authers style. She dives into her characters hearts and pulls beautiful stories from them. I highly recommend this book! Mercedes, please continue to write Valdermar books!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I can't wait for the next one!
Review: This was a great book. I have read all the others in the Valdemar series and I love how she brings characters from her other books into each new one. Her character development through the series keeps me hoping for the individual characters.

Summary: I loved this book!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: This one was even better than the last one. Keisha is mercedes typical hero. I agree with the one before that she and Darian will make a cute couple. I also like it that Kerowyn, Eldan, and Firsong were in this book, I was starting to miss them.I also liked how the mysterious disease has tie-ins to real life. This book a great book and in my opinion everything I have come to expext from Mercedes Lacky.

Summary: very, very, very good (but not quite excellent)
Review: owlsight was well worth the wait, and was a nice follow-up to owlflight. my one complaint was the ATROCIOUS copyediting (what is the mayor's wife's name?)! in one paragraph, this woman's name changed several times: mandy, nandy (which it was in book #1), nandy, nandy, then mandy for the rest of the book!!! if daw isn't making enough money off of misty's books to hire a capable copyeditor & a proofreader, then why bother? i understand that owlknight involves darian's parents & the remnants of the eastern empire --- neat! we have to wait how long? yes, i agree with lots of other people: last herald mage was the BEST trilogy and got me hooked on the valdemar books (do you even want to know how many times i looked at the arrows saga & put it back?) -- but i was rather depressed after books 1&3. i like firesong (see a trend here?) and was thrilled to see him included in this book. i'd like to see more anthologies like sword of ice, but i'll settle for more valdemar stuff on a regular basis.

Summary: A Wonderful Tale
Review: Merecedes LAckey is one of my favourite authors and I've read every single one of her books- this is oneo fthe best. I wasn't the biggest fan of OwlFlight but this made up for it. I cannot wait for the next wait- Darian and Keisha will make the cutest couple!

Summary: Humm............
Review: Owlsight is a slow book. No denying it, no refuting it. I did not hate it entirely, but that is because I skipped over enormouse sections, and I enjoy long descriptions of places and food, so you could say that I liked the setting. As for charachters... the word "shallow" comes to mind, and "spinless goodie-goodies" as well. Everyone in this story is freindly, saintly, proper, manerly, and compleatly content. No one even uters an imprecation! I mean come on! The most Noticeable conflict was a mother trying to keep her childen from leaving home when they were old enough! As for the "antagonists", they didn't show up untill the end of the book and the entire bussness regarding them seemed extreamly tacked on. "Misty", as people call her, probably just wanted to write about a peasant healer kniting and people eating dinner. Don't read this book unless you are exceedingly borred, or have been starved for reading material for an extended period of time. By the way, don't expect any great action sequences,Lakey has obviously forgotten how to write them.

Summary: Excellent story!!!!!
Review: I LOVE this book. I adore Keisha and all the descriptions of her activities and her workshop. (It makes me want to be there too!) The plot was very interesting. I'm happy that the situation was resolved without a battle. (I'm not fond of the violent stuff-I tolerate in the other books because the stories are so great.) Okay, it's not a gut-wrenching tear jerker like The Last Herald Mage trilogy (the very best of the Valdemar series), but if you're looking a good read without the cathartic effect, this book is very satifying!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: complete waste of time!
Review: I can't believe how boring this book was, considering how much I have enjoyed other Mercedes Lackey books (some parts of the last Valdemar series excluded--yawn! on all that stuff about the Son of Solares or whatever). There was very little plot to mention, and I began skipping over large sections, just to try to find something happening other than Keisha knitting that stupid sweater, or picking flowers! And when there was something happening, it was the same as in the last book. Honestly, the only reason I gave this book one star is that there was no "no star" ratings. Even the characters were so one-sided that they didn't even seem real. I mean, it was like they were all saying, "Oh, I'm so sweet. We are all having such a good time." Ewww!! Give us a good villian next time, please! Or something to hold our interest. Owlflight wasn't too bad,and even had some good action scenes, but avoid this one and hope she can think up a plot to put in her next book. Otherwise, I'll have to give the Lackey books the skip altogether.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Great Book!
Review: I read Owlflight, then I read Owlsight, and, needless to say, I'm waiting in great anticipation for her next book of this series! The characters and the storytelling are excellent, and the books are written with a flair that leaves you waiting for more, I couldn't put it down!
