Summary: Truly a splendidly funny piece of literature.
Review: In his novel, "Another Fine Myth", Asprin combines in a great way the tremendous humour of Douglas Adams, with the fantastic feel of Tolkiens liflike character descriptions. This book is a hillarious rollercoaster-ride through countless dimensions, and with his loving descriptions of various human and non-human characters, he provides hours of laughter and endless thrills. "Another fine Myth", is a book that anyone with a love for strange new worlds, and mad schemes should definetely read.

Summary: Defines the term tounge in cheek humor to unparrelled levels
Review: In this story you will find the very best of NON -SERIOUS, out and out good clean humor as it is meant to be. This book should be mandatory for all grade school childern & anybody who needs a lift from live. This is not a serious piece of fiction it is meant in the grandest terms as tounge in cheek, pulled out and wrapped around the head many many times.A note to those who haven't had a chance to indulge themselves - the opening statement in each chapter is worth the price of admission!

Summary: Ironic Humor at it's best...
Review: It is a wonder to behold how this poor young man, Skeeve, seems
to wander into so much trouble while trying to hide from it so hard.
He staggers into it with his eyes closed, led by his pervect friend
(NOT pervert-pervects get their scales ruffled if you call them that)
Aahz. The quotes at the beginning of each chapter are almost as
amuzing as the story itself. A must for anyone with a sense of humor
at all, and perfect for getting adolescents interested in reading.

Summary: A++
Review: My mother originaly bought the first two books in the series for her to read but I ended up pilfering them from her. I first read these books as a pre-teen and let me tell you that "young adult"reading level does not really apply. Anybody who enjoys humor and fun fantasy will love these books. Read them by yourself, read them to your kids. This series about the unadept apprentice, Skeeve, his teacher the Pervert demon Aahz and the funniest dragon on Deva, Gleep, will amuse and entertain anybody of any age, anywhere.

Summary: Don't buy this book!, at lest not this version.
Review: New editions not available on Amazon (at the time of this review) are out at most book stores. Instead of one book for $6.99, two consecutive book are included in each volume for $7.99. These are available for all of the books except the two newest (of course they were the only in the series I had to buy). But I figured the rest of you may as well not repeat my purchasing mistake.

Summary: A fine series begins
Review: Perfect for when you're sick of the typical and dreadfully pompous heroic fantasy that abounds today, Robert Asprin's Myth series is a tongue-in-cheek account of an apprentice magician's various misadventures and colourful friends and foes.

Although I personally do not find it laugh-aloud funny (in the style, for instance, of Douglas Adams) there's plenty of sly jokes and double entendres hidden in the text, as well as some truly brilliant parodies of typical fantasy characters. And, interestingly for a humourous series, Robert Asprin takes the time to deliver some insight and warmth into the characters and their relationships, although less so in the earlier books.

Robert Asprin is clearly a fan of Fritz Leiber, and Aahz and Skeeve do not disgrace their illustrious ancestors; Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser

Summary: Pun Reading for All
Review: Robert Asprin weaves a wonderfully fine mix of Humor, Fantasy and Good, Old-Fashioned Satire into a tapestry delightful to behold over and over again.

Puns in the Chapter Headings and throughout the story itself put this as well as the rest of the series right into the same catagory as some of Spider Robinson's and Rick Cook's work.

Character development is sweetly and smoothly paced throughout. Action is timed perfectly. Groans and grunts (from the Reader) are continous.

WARNING: DO NOT LEND THIS ONE OUT TO YOUR FRIENDS !!!! You'll never get it back.

Summary: Hilarious Fantasy Novel
Review: Robert Asprin writes a fall-down laughing (I literally did) story brought to spectacular life by Jeff Woodman. Need a laugh? Read or listen to this novel!
