Summary: Enjoyable, Funny, Touching, Lasting Star Trek Legacy
Review: I have been a "trekkie" for years but then, I don't have the privilege of attending a Star Trek Convention as there's none of such a thing in New Zealand. The only way that I'm able to know more about the character Spock and the person behind the mask, Leonard Nimoy is through reading a book. It's even better when the book is written by Leonard himself. Obviously, as Leonard penned this book this time around, he has made peace with Spock. No more "I Am Not Spock". The book explained that his life & Spock's life is intertwined. Nowadays, he's gratified rather than showed resentment towards Spock for the success that "they" are embracing together. The book brought us behind the scenes of the making of the original TV series, the movies till the first endorsement of the New Generations. It also touched upon other projects that Leonard undertook such as "Three Men & A Baby", & other theatre projects. Leonard also reviewed the process of deriving the best ears for Spock, the origin of Spock's phrase Live Long & Prosper & the famous V sign via Leonard's heritage, the firming up of scripts that bonded the characters of Star Trek together, his relationships with Gene Roddenberry, the hit & miss involvements with Kirstie Alley & Eddie Murphy! Wow, I didn't know that. This is a book for avid Star Trek fans & for those readers who want to catch a glimpse of a dedicated actor being faithful to his character even if it meant losing his own job.

Summary: Good general effect
Review: Althoug not so detailed as William Shatner's "STAR TREKMEMORIES", this book deals mroe with Nimoy and his career notonly in Star Trek, but as a clever and capable actor, director, screenwriter and producer.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: long deserved book
Review: Nimoy gave us a great story in this book, written in a simple and direct style (but not cheap nor vulgar), tgalking about his career as an actor, screenwriter and director. It's veryg rateful to know how someone with strenght of character may suceed, even being the son of poor Russian parents. He put an end to rumours that said that he and Shatner hated each other.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: GREAT PERSONAL NARRATIVE !
Review: Even not being a "trekker", I bought this book, because everybody knows how Nimoy is an intelligent fellow. Written with the intention of putting down some bad feelings left behind from his previous book (1975) "I AM NOT SPOCK", and without the help of a ghost-writer, Nimoy writes in a particular style I'd call "Friendship style", clearly respecting his fans and tryin to give a general picture of what really was (is) his life, not even in one moment showing indulgence or arrogance. Explendid auto-biographical job.

Summary: Live Long, and Prosper
Review: Completely entertaining. As a moderate Star Trek fan, I've found Leonard's own account of his life and career an accomplishment as no doubt he does as well. I especially found the story about the woman breaking into his hotel to wear his clothes most amusing. I highly recommend it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I would recommend it to others.
Review: For those who have read his book,'I AM NOT SPOCK', would do well to read this book, for in it Mr. Nimoy has explained why he said that and went into great detail why he was apologetic to those who were offended by that first book. Mr. Nimoy writes very understandably and it did not take me very long to read it. Joanne Kelsey

Summary: couldn't put it down!
Review: As I preceeded to read, I felt as though I was with Leonard every step of the way, feeling whatever emotion he felt and absorbed. Very indepth book. He clearly states the good times, the bad times, even the times in-between from the start as how "Star Trek" got started, to the present-of his writing the book. I would pick it up again and re-read it, reference it, and (not) let my friends get their dirty hands on it! For fear of loosing the book!

Summary: You are Spock!
Review: Mr Nimoy is a highly talented individual in multiple aspects. I started liking his work even before I became a fan of Star Trek (3 man and a baby for example). In this book he is funny and full of "behind the scene" anecdotes, which were all presented in a "true-but-gentle" manner, and never any finger pointing accusation of anyone or anything. He is one of the few people I can envision beyond Star Trek and not wonder what is "Spock" doing in something completely irrelevant, although of course Mr Spock will always be my favourite character. I really enjoyed the book, and am now very curious to read the first book "I am not Spock"

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Well Worth The Read
Review: I read this hardback quite a few years back, but after reading it, I had a much larger knowledge of Leonard Nimoy. Recommended.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very well writtten and very, very good!
Review: It was the best book I have ever read
