Summary: Not A Typical Romance Story!
Review: Girl gets boy, everyone lives happily ever after. Not in this book. There are deep personal sorrows and struggles. There are many tears. But as the book unfolds, we see the great peace and joy Christ can bring to His Children. This is a book that I have shared with many women in our church, and they have always returned it saying that it is one of the best that they have read. I have reread it many times and still am moved and blessed. It is one book that I would not part with in my library, my favorite novel!

Summary: THIS BOOK BRINGS TEARS TO MY EYES EVERYTIME I READ IT.
Review: I FIRST RECIEVED THIS BOOK BACK IN 1970 WHEN I WAS A YOUNG TEEN , I LOVED IT THEN AND ONCE AGAIN I FOUND THIS BOOK AND READ IT , I STILL LOVE IT.THE PAIN ELEANOR GOES THROUGH IS ALMOST UNBEARABLE BUT GOD HELPS HER THROUGH IT BUT SHE HAD TO LEARN TO LEAN ON HIM AND THEN ONLY FINDS TRUE PEACE WITH HER LIFE. THIS BOOK WILL ALWAYS BE SPECIAL TO ME. NOW IF I COULD ONLY FIND THE SEQUEL TO THIS BOOK THE LIGHT IN MY WINDOW I WILL TRULY BE RELIVING MY YOUNGTEEN LIFE AGAIN. THIS IS A MUST FOR ALL TO READ.

Review: I purchased this book at a library booksale in my hometown almost 3 years ago and have just read it for the first time. Ms. Arnold makes the characters in her book, very literally, come alive. I began reading yesterday evening and continued until 1 AM. At that point, I was so overcome with gratefulness to God for all His mercy and grace that I got out of bed, went into the living room, and cried, praying and thanking my God for all he has done for me. I am going to make this book, along with "In His Steps," recommended reading for all the young people at our church. It is a fine example of how God can take the tragic consequences that arise when we try to run our own lives and turn them into good when we yield ourselves to His will.

Review: I read "Not My Will", not long after I became a Christian and other than the the touch of God on my life and the Bible, this book was the one thing that instilled in me the knowledge that Romans 8:28 said what it meant, and meant what it said. I cannot find my copy and would like to obtain another; plus the rest of her books.

Summary: I LOVED IT!!!
Review: I wish all of Francena H. Arnold's books were still in print, she is a very moving author! Everytime I read it I wonder what I would do if I were put in the same situation that she were in. Eleanor was so real that I almost wish I could meet her and talk to her about her life. A MUST READ!!!

Review: Refresh your mind and spirit by laughing, crying, sighing and becoming entirely lost in this book. Arnold tells a captivating story of a young woman who, like most of us, didn't make all the right choices. But, all things work together for good to them that love the Lord and are called according to his purpose.

Review: This book is so amazing. Normally I don't get emotional when I read touching stories, but I felt tears well in my eyes as I read this heart-wrenching book. The characters became real to me, and I felt every joy, sorrow, and trouble that they felt. This book is a must-read. Every person should read this book!
