Summary: The name's Horn, Corran Horn.
Review: In the sequel to the awesome Rogue Squadron book by Michael A. Stackpole, the author takes our favorite fighter pilots into the world of espionage and commando black-ops. The Rogues are called in to help bring down Imperial City, the urban planet of Coruscant. Sent in under disguises and armed only with their wits and blasters, the Rogues make history in another hard-to-put-down adventure novel. Despite the simple fact that this book is longer and slightly slower moving than the first, Mr. Stackpole's writing shines through the epic plot and makes the reader feel like they are right next to Corran Horn, as he calls upon his CorSec officer skills and saves the day. Filled with spectacular scenes (the speeder bike chase through the city is quite nice) and a shattering climax, Wedge's Gamble successfully tackles the world of spies and blows the reader away, yet again. In all, an excellent book that still contains our favorite dogfights and characters, yet adds a new twist and makes for a great time in the land far, far away.

Summary: The book is very exciting!!
Review: In this book we finally grt to find out how the New Republic captures Coruscant. Even though some parts are boring, the end space battle is great. I think that the book could of been better if the author made the battle a little more challenging. Rogue squadron is once again the reason for the New Republics sucess.

Summary: Stackpole does it again
Review: In this new thrilling book rogue squadron is sent on a daring mission to Imperial capital,Coruscant. There, they collect information on the planet on how to take it over. This is a good plan, but Ysanne Isard has a little something up her sleave. I also liked the mention of old starwars heroes like Leia, Luke, and Han.This an excellent sequel to the equally exciting first starwars rogue squadron book.

Summary: Not as good a 1st book
Review: In this second installment of X-Wing books the Rogues take on Imperial Center (Coruscant) and take it over for the New Republic. If you ask me it seems a bit of a stretch - a group of fighter jocks take out the capital world of the Empire!? Hmmm - now for sure Isard had a plan by releaseing the virus and creating problems for the new Republic, but I guess I envisioned a grander struggle for this ancient of all planets and cultures - Perhaps a more intense fleet battle - oh, well. It was a good read. Fast paced and all that. I especially like the fact that Stackpole doesn't have a problem with killing off peripheral good guys - Lucas didn't seem to have a problem with it either (see Biggs, Dev, Obi-Wan, Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, etc.) It gives depth and realism to the story and helps mature and reveal the main characters. Good book, but not as good as the first one - stick to strike and fade.

Summary: Long live Wedge!
Review: Oh, this rules! I haven't yet read the first one, so this one was a little confusing, but it rules! I was very pleased do find a book that didn't have Luke or Han in it, with minimal appearances of Leia. I love the original characters, but new ones are even better! My favourite pilot of the Rogues, besides Wedge, would definitely be Gavin. He's so awesome! I have this thing for insignificant characters, so I love Gavin! Please include more about him in the next book! This one gets six stars!

Summary: Captivating!
Review: Set directly after X-wing:Rogue Squadron. Wedge's Gamble, as the title reads, is refers to the New Republic's attempt to use Rogue Squadron to capture Coruscant from the Empire. Ysanne Isard (new leader of the Empire) is making a virus to inflict on Coruscant. (beware graphic details of the how the virus affects citizens of Coruscant, its not for the weak of stomach)

Summary: Rogue Squadron 2 The Saga Continues.....................
Review: Since throughly enjoying the first episode of the Rogue Squadron, I eagerly lapped up the second with relish. I was not going to be let down, Stackpole has bettered the first book, by delving into the main characters even more. The story grabs you and leads you down into the adventurus world of the X-wing pilots, we share their fears, their concerns, their victories and their losses. The characters and storyline have grown so large, that I am surprised that they have not featured in any of the other novels. Once again a big WELL DONE, and may there be many more coming

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Exciting
Review: Stackpole has done a really good job on this book. He really captures your imagination and puts you at the scenes of the battle. You can just imagine yourself in the Bacata Tanks after the attack.

Summary: WAHOO!YIPEE! YAHOO!
Review: That was a well kinda TERRIFIC BOOK! They introuduce the much heard of Iella.(Why neither one ran into each other's name on the rosters is beyond me)That was a good thing to do. The depth and truth to Kirtan Loor comes out. He is a good character that was done quite well. I wonder if Stackpole planned the crazy connections between Loor, Isard, Wessari, and Horn. Probobly. The whole issue of the mysterious spy within the squad and Horn's reaction to it is so Star Wars. The characters keep within what we know about them. Somone who is afraid of snakes isn't a snake charmer in the next book if you know what I mean.I know that this is somthing that is one of Stackpole's strengths. I know that Iella wasn't an idiot from what Corran says but I didn't know she was a genius and a tough cookie as well. A welcome change from your typical damsel in distress. Even in Star Wars, I look for books that aren't filled with pitiful feminine wimps. How about a guy wimp? Seen one of those recently? I doubted it. Then how about all he undercover stuff. Think about it. Nobody dies every couple scentences. You always get a couple close misses , but death is no funny thing. You know it and I know it. Most importantly. You see that the "Bad Guys" are out to kill people and make trouble, but the "Good Guys" are trying to save lives and protect the galaxy from slime, you know the usual. Thing is, that is what seperates the Alliance and the Empire anyway. GO REBEL ALLIANCE. Or should I say GO NEW REPUBLIC! Amazing how republics build over night.
