Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Disappointing ending Review: I overall was intrigued by the book. It wasn't as bad as alot of people say, yet it wasn't as good as the better books in the series were. I didn't like this new David guy, I really think we would've been better served in this "Final" book by having that character be Sammy Jo. The whole Ziggy crashing and interfacing with the other computers was stupid. I really wish they had've explored the whole idea Sam brought up about Lothos. Ended to rapidly and confusingly.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: A Major Let Down Review: I was excited when I heard of the latest release on Quantam Leap Mirror's Edge and promptly ordered it As stated by several other readers this book lacks the excitment of many of the other books in the series and was very confusing in places. Half the time I had to go back just to clarify what the writer was trying to say. The dropping of many major characters who featured predominatly in the earlier books also was very disapointing The foul Language also did not enamore me towards the book ether. I was most disapointed in this book and Hopefully someone will take up the stories published on the QL website and print them Without giving away the ending it was in complete competition with the 2nd last episode of the TV series
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Good story, but- Review: I would have given this book 4 or 5 stars, but the ending brought it down. I don't want to say too much. The story was good, there are areas of confusion, but one of the better Leap novels. My favorite is Song and Dance. I hate to see the series end, but I guess too many people have lost interest in Quantum Leap.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Terrible disservice to the series Review: It's as if the publishers want to end the demand for QL novels by leaving such a bad taste in our mouths that we just don't have the heart for more. Sam is out of character--not just foul mouthed, but a selfish, thoughtless, unpleasant man. Lots of threads are introduced that are left hanging--indeed, the whole story line is left hanging. If you remember Twin Peaks--this is a "red curtain ending." This is billed as the last novel in the series. If they can't do better than this, it should be! This thing in a betrayal of the fans. Switch to fanzines--at least the writers love their chosen characters. This writer really doesn't like any of these people. A tragic disappointment.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Disappointing, but not a bad read.... Review: Okay, just found this out-of-print book at a yard sale and bought it because I used to know these authors personally. I don't think it is badly written, though the cover is a bit misleading for those hoping for closure (and I've read Carol's explanation that the higher-ups would not *allow* the closure that Sam-and-Al fans craved; even so, then, the amount of dangling threads in this could knit a sweater for winter.) I'm afraid I have to agree with the majority of the reviews here: Okay, but not satisfying.

Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Once Again Gives Fans What They Want! Review: Once again Carol has given us what the fans of QL have been missing, a good Sam and Al story. Carol continues to give us endearing human characters, flaws and all and not superhumans. As in all of Carol's previous story this one is a winner that does not disappoint! Highly recommend!
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Junk. Pure junk. Review: The story was extremely promising. However, the ending left a LOT to be desired. My thoughts are if the author had made this book the sequel to "Mirror's Image" instead of the prequel it would have given her more room to give the story a proper ending. Also, Al's characterization was way too crass. In the TV series, he's humor was only suggestive and tongue-in-cheek. In the book he seems like a scumball.

Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: a bit of a disappointment Review: When I got to the last chapter...the screams started :) I just felt so cheated. Call me an optimistic fool but I really thought that this book will offer us a better ending to Sam's story. Okay, so I have to admit that it's kinda genius ending, but still... About the characters in this novel. I've read all the books of QL, and some of the writers took free writing when it came to the characters and who was in the project's "lead" people. This novel really disappointed me when it comes to that. Although I really like the fact that they got Tom into the all deal I missed Sam's kid; I think that it could have been another "big" emotional thing for Sam to remember that he has a kid. But he didn't even remember that when he remembered his past leaps. Wasn't that important enough? And where did they got that David guy from ? And where's Tina? so, in two sentences - if you're a quantum leap fan, you probably can't help but read this book, but just be ready for a tiring, too long, and a bit disappointing book.
