Rating: Summary: Disappointed Review: For the most part the stories are extremely boring (let me hasten to add that i've been an avid Batman fan for the last 10 years), i only gave this book 2 stars because it had batman's name on it. the stories were childish bordering on moronic, not to mention out of date (1 story had bruce wayne ordering vacuum tubes for the bat computer). another flaw is that the book focuses more on bruce wayne than on his alter ego. for persons looking for good batman prose try the further adventures of the joker by the same editor or no mans land by gregg rucka.
Rating: Summary: Very Childish Review: I found this book in my personal collection, since it is an anthology, and I had already finished most of it, I decided to finish it. I started reading the book when I was 14 years old, I remembered being enthralled. As time passed and I have grown up, my opinions have changed. The tales told in this book are very formulmatic and childish. As I was finishing the book I would read aloud to my wife the most ridiculous passages just so I was not the only one who had to suffer. To a 12-14 year old fan of the Batman character, this would qualify as an interesting read, to a grown man who has distanced himself from the caped crusader, this is an awful collection. T
Rating: Summary: It was alright Review: I have always been a Batman fan, but I can not get into the comics. Well, the stories are kind of hit and miss. The good ones are "Subway Jack", a ghost story; "Sound of One Hand Clapping", a funny Joker story; and the best one is "The Wise Men of Gotham", a very intelligent mystery dealing with a string robbery murders involving the Riddler. OK ones are "Neutral Ground", an intresting idea, you've heard the cloths amke the man, well, how about the man who makes the cloths, you'll see; "Daddy's Girl", bitter sweet Robin in love story, too sad to really say is great; "Pirates of Millionairs' Cove is alright, pretty much how it sounds, but a little farfetched, even for Batman. The rest rang from wierd to just boring. Over all it's worth buying for some of the stories, but get it cheap.

Rating: Summary: A tilt-a-whirl look into the Dark Knight's world. Review: The Further Adventures of Batman is a theme anthology and it suffers from the same problem that befalls all of its genre. Wildly uneven stories about the same subject matter. Some of the tales contained in the book edge toward the camp of the maligned television series, while others are firmly rooted in the dark gothism of Tim Burton's first two film's in the series (which this and other DC comic character anthologies were tied in with). Which story best captures the 'flavor' of Batman is, of course, highly subjective. But the story by Joe R. Lansdale was the one that struck me as the best of the lot. Recommended strictly to Batman fanatics.

Rating: Summary: A must for any Batman fan. Review: This book combines some of the best talents writing science fiction today, and puts them all in one volume,(particularly interesting is the way each individual author's way of looking at the Batman) Read the short story Subway Jack and you will get the idea. All in all a very pleasant read
