Rating: Summary: A Perfect Mix of Action, Adventure, and Mystery Review: When I first started to read the book, I just didn't know what to expect. However, once I became comfortable with the setting of the story, I had a very hard time putting the book down. My book reading is limited to a 10 minute train ride to and from work, and I couldn't wait to get back on the train to read the next few pages. This book is about a group comprised of mercenaries, researchers, scientists, a priest, an old lady who is probably more machine than human, and a military officer who are out to retake Helena, a planet captured by mysterious aliens known as the Titans. Anything that produces energy becomes useless on a Titan world so the team that goes down to the planet are restricted to "antique" weapons, but find that even those become useless. Some of the aspects of the Titan world seemed to be a tad far-fetched, but if you can overlook some of these minute details, then this book is overall a very entertaining one. It is an easy to read, fun, and thrilling book. Definitely worth buying...as a matter of fact, I enjoyed the book so much that I've just placed my order to buy another one of Chalker's books!
