Rating: Summary: Unimpressive Review: I decided to read this book for the sake of comparison. My normal flow of reading revolves around SF novels of the intelligent, thoughtful, mind-bending type, so I was fairly disappointed in this book for that reason. There was a tremendous amount of action, but it offered little to people looking for drama or subtlety. I understand how people can enjoy this book, but it just isn't my personal cup of tea.
Rating: Summary: a most excellant book Review: I have read this book and all the other battletech books. My brother and I collect them. I only wish that they could be put out more often, fore I enjoy them all. I most especially enjoy the Grey Death Legion novels. Please, get more out ASAP.

Rating: Summary: First BattleTech Book I ever read and it got me hooked. Review: I read this book about four years ago thinking that it was just another sci-fi novel. I had finished the book 3 days later, and I was searching for another of the series. It was great! I've read all the novels of the Gray Death Series and am waiting for more.
Rating: Summary: An excellent action-adventure with very good pace. Review: Keith creates a world of violence and chaos, with a likeable young hero stranded on a planet torn by civil war. Characters are well drawn for an action story. There are well drawn male and female characters. I felt this book was more consistently interesting and better paced than Operation Excaliber, the only other of Keith's novels that I have read. For those who've enjoyed Decision at Thunder Rift, there are several other Battletech books which continue the adventures of the likeable young hero
Rating: Summary: An awesome book! Review: This book begins a long line of stories involving Grayson Death Carlyle. The story is well written and involves the reader in the intricacies of the inner sphere.
Rating: Summary: A Great Read That Any Sci-Fi Lover Would Enjoy. Review: This book has a great plot and introduces wonderful characters that make you want to read many more books with them in it. A great read that i bet a first time B-tech reader would enjoy to the fullest!
Rating: Summary: A thrilling adventure and full of intrigue Review: This book is a wonderfully wel written book. I have read few books that match up to this. This book will get your interest very quickly. I give it not five, not six, but seven stars.
Rating: Summary: Winner take everything. Review: This book is set thirty years before the clan invasion, with the main charter just finishing his mech training and seeing his father being killed for no reason. He gets left behind, starts a revoulation and fights off a bandit king from taking over a planet.
Rating: Summary: This book definitely rules!!! Review: William Keith is one of the best Battletech authors besides Robert Charette. His novels set in the 3025 era have laid the basis for our todays Battletech history. It is a must for every serious Battletech Gamer and worth reading for any others interested in Science Fiction."Decision.."is the best introduction in the Battletech Universe you can acquire. For generations of Battletech and Mechwarrior Game Masters it has served as pattern for their mercenary campaigns because it describes the birth and evolution of the historically most important merc company, the Gray Death Legion. This book provides atmosphere and depth unrivaled save by the "Blood of Kerensky" trilogy.
