Rating: Summary: Only ordinary Review: "Year 1000" gets off to a good start. The artwork is sound, and the story has a promising start: mysterious phenomena augur the coming year millenium, and possibly the end of the world.Although workmanlike, the story and art never really grab me. The renderings are all good and figures are drawn realistically. They are all static, though, and the characters all seem to talk "into the camera". Page layouts tend to have a predictable grid, and don't push the story along as well as they could. The art is good, but lots of other artists are at least as good. The story is adequate, but other stories are better. I'll come back to this book sooner or later, but probably not sooner. In the mean time, I recommend it only to the serious Segrelle fan.

Rating: Summary: a really interesting comic book Review: I think it is a different comic book. The images are show an extremely high quality and consistency, and the story mixes science-fiction and fantasy. It deals with the end of the world, by Year 1000. The end is quite promising: hope our own Year 2000 will be too!
