Rating: Summary: Did a much better job than Terry Brooks! Review: Pat Wrede's novelization of The Phantom Menace is very nicely done. She added insight into the characters without bogging down the story. I hope that Lucas dumps Terry Brooks and goes with Pat Wrede for the sequel.

Rating: Summary: The "Before Story" on the original Star Wars Movies Review: This book has wonderful characters, some old favorites, and some new. Such as Oby-Won, Qui-Gon Jin, Anakin Skywalker and Jar Jar Rinks. This story begins in space in a ship where Qui-Gon is training Oby-Won as an apprentice. Qui-Gon is a very powerful Jedi. They are saving Queen Amidala from the trade federation. The trade federation is going to go in and take over, unless the Queen signs a treaty with them. Queen Amidala is a good and kind queen who wants the best for her people. The conflict in the story is between the dark side (the bad guys) and the Rebels (the good guys). The rebels are the good guys because they rule with peace, harmony and kindness, but most of all justice, and treat their people right! The Dark Side would only rule with bitterness and treat their people like "gum in your hair that you want to get rid of". My favorite part was when Anakin blew up the attack droids big momma ship! Darth Maul is a very dangerous sith lord who is apprentice to Darth Sidious. Darth Sidious is an extremely powerful, horridly, massively, ugly sith lord. Oby Won is a very handsome jedi in training under his master Qui-Gon. Queen Amidala is a beatufiul queen but you already knew that because of her name and I have nothing else to say, except I believe that you should read this book*****
Rating: Summary: Good Book! Review: This book is good. It has excellent pictures. The print is clear so you can read it. So come on. What are you waiting for? Go and read it. You'll love it!
Rating: Summary: A great adaption of the movie Review: This book was good, especially for the young readers it was intended for. Fans older than twelve or so may feel that this book was a bit below par, and I'd definitely say that the adult's novelization was better, but really, this one is worth picking up, die hard fans or not. The two books complement one another well, and if you have the spare time I'd recommend reading both. Anyway, in this one, the characters were well fleshed out, especially Padme/Amidala and Anakin. In the movie, I found it impossible to relate to Anakin even on a remote level, but here, seen through Padme's caring, protective eyes, he seems outright adorable, and through his own, I could see him as a real person, and made the story in general more enjoyable. So, if you've seen the movie, I definitely recomend either or both of the novelazations.

Rating: Summary: Great book Review: This book, though aimed at those of younger ages, actually comes off remarkably well in contrast to Terry Brooks' official tie-in novelization. While this book doesn't go into as much technical depth or detail, I felt that the author had much more of a feel for Episode I and Star Wars in general than Terry Brooks did. This book, in the first two pages, also does what the movie and Brooks' novelization failed to -- It explains the story comprehensibly, the Federation's motives etc... This book also had a lot more feeling, what the characters thought about one another, and it got into Jar Jar's head, making him not quite so annoying. This book in many ways is a better adaptation of the film than Brooks' edition, but it's also different, written from different perspectives. If you are a die hard SW fan, I recommend reading both, if not, stick with Brooks'. This was good, but it was aimed at kids, remember.

Rating: Summary: Star Wars Episode One Review: This book, with no doubt, is great! When I first got it and read it, it was wonderful. Although the book isn't perfectly accurate on the movie, it is still a really good book and it is a good one to read for intermediate readers. Patricia C. Wrede is a wonderful writer. I have read other books written by her, and they are all great. So if you don't want a really complicated version (like the one by Terry Brooks, which is totally off in accuracy), I would definitely recommend this one!
