Review: Wow. I never thought I could enjoy anyone's books as much as Patricia Briggs. Though detailed landscapes, storylines, and wonderful characters, she sets the standard with which to read short fantasy. This book is great to read over and over-- just to catch everything you missed the first, second, or third times; it's a fulfilling and amazing read. It begins with a woman imbued with magic in a land deviod of magic. When the magic returns, so do all the creatures that thrive in it.... And it continues from there. Overall, I think it's a great story.

Review: _The Hob's Bargain_ is the story of Aren, a woman who has the power of sight in a land where magic is feared and hated. It begins when Aren's family is killed by raiders and the magic in the land is freed of the bloodmage's spell. With this unbinding, the wildlings, creatures imbued with magic, return to the hills and forests. Many of the newly wakened wildlings have no love for humans, and in order to protect her village, Aren must make a bargain with the Hob, the human-like creature of the mountain. _The Hob's Bargain_ is a tale about vengeance and the price of power, love and prejudice, and the destruction blind and unthinking hatred can cause. Elements of humor and a touch of romance.
