Rating: Summary: The Our comment! Review: The book "THE GIVER" by Lois Lowry is about a boy called Jonas who lives in a world consisting of rules, without colours, pain and music etc. Our thoughts of "THE GIVER": In our opinion it is an unputdownable book. But we do not like the ending because we excepted a different one...
Rating: Summary: My personal review of the Giver Review: The Giver is a book about a boy named Jonas who lives in an utopian community without pain, crimes, colers and where everything's the same. What I liked most was the relationship between Jonas and the Giver. They helped each other to cope with the memories of wars or pain and joined the memories of snow, sun and happiness. I would like to know what happened to the community after Jonas escaped from it to show the people in it the reality. Our reality. It's interestingt to think about it...
Rating: Summary: Good aspects Review: We really like this book because it treats new problems that we don't know: Sameness! Jonas, the main character lives in a community where all the things are the same. Because there are no colors, no music and no individuality. It's very admirable how Jonas tries to change the life in the community, as he escapes of the community. In our opinion this book must get an OSCAR! Many thanks to the author that we can read such a great fantastic and fascinating book !
Rating: Summary: The Giver - for children or adults? Review: "The Giver" deals with a very strange world where people have to follow a lot of rules to build a painless society! I can't decide if this novel is mainly written for children or adults. I suppose, it's very interesting to compare our today's world with the Givers's society but the story is a little bit boring. I think, the philosophical aspects (e.g. talking about love) are mainly adults' topics while the story is written in such a simple style that even young children may understand and that doesn't really satisfy me. Coming to conclusion, "The Giver" has a lot of interesting aspects of social and philosophical topics but the story is too simple to be exciting.
Rating: Summary: the giver Review: the giver is a good book because their is no war and everybodygrts treated the same. It is a perfect comunty their is no pain. Youwill find no animals in this perfect comunty. Parents don't have names they just call them mom and dad you have to applie for a marage and you can only have two children one male and one female. At 12 you go to training for your job.
Rating: Summary: a grate book to read Review: The Giver written by Lois Lowry is a very well thought outbook.I gave this book five stars because its suspenceful threw theentire book and makes you want to keep reading. I have read this book sevral times and it has never gottin to the point where I was bored with it.
Rating: Summary: The perfect community Review: This book was the best book I ever read it was odd and weardbut I caught on to it the book has good grammer it also hasdetail. The main character is Jonas, the Giver is the character that has feeling's and the other people that live in the community. The author then talk's about how perfect they are in the community, but Jonas find's something what happens even though nothing seem's wrong in the perfect community because they have no feeling's. In this book it tell's you everything that it need's to tell well thats pretty much how it goes.

Rating: Summary: awsome! Review: I really think this book was great because it made me thinkthat maybe very far away that there might just be a utopia somewhere. When I was reading the book I could see pictures in my head that what Jonas might look like or what father and mother might of looked like to. The author really explains things like what emotions are felt and even the objects that are held he explains them to the fullest. Like I said that it made me think alote about life without any memories of love hate or even felling of family to me I think that would be really hard to live without. What I really would hat is not picking what kind of job you would have also not having feelings for other people. I really liked the ending but lucky for you your just going to read it yourself. Oh and one more thing have fun.
Rating: Summary: it is different :0( =0) Review: This is not a really exciting. And it was boring becuse it was way to long and it was weird in parts. Becuse it was not what you think is going to be and it isent what you think it will be what you want to happen. Well have fun reading!!!!!!!!!!!!
