Rating: Summary: Great if you read it as as entertainment only... Review: The book was well done. I didn't particularly like the "messiah's" message, and I thought the author was a bit hard on organized religion. Read strictly as a fictional thriller, it was very entertaining. The ending could have been more dynamic, but I have to say the book held my interest.
Rating: Summary: A keep you up all night pageturner Review: I picked up this book on a whim. I had never heard of Mr. Kleier and wasn't expecting much of a read. Boy was I wrong! The main charactor, Jeza, is strong yet simple, with an ethereal quality. The meshing of sci-fi with religious dogma was done seamlessly and with elegance . The story line reels you in and keeps you wondering and mezmerized till the last page. I have recommended this book to everyone I know. For anyone who has dreams of this world becoming a better place, this book will take you there even if for only a few hundred pages.
Rating: Summary: Prophetic Review: I have a friend that was talking about this book for months, she wanted me to read it but I was very busy. After reading "The Last Day" I can't stop recommending it myself, it is an incredible story with a very deep understanding of where our world is heading and how this could change. It is a novel but I wish that everything would be true. Monica
Rating: Summary: Thank you, Glenn Kleier Review: It's about time somebody had the guts (and the talent) to create a vision like this. This is a classic story, every bit a watershed novel like "1984" and "Brave New Worlds." 100 years from now when they talk about defining stories of the turn of the millennium, "The Last Day" will be the point of reference.
Rating: Summary: Thou Shalt Write Review: And then the Great Publisher, sat down with the new Author, and said,"Thou shalt write an overly-long,politically-correct,biblically-ignorant,diatribe about the last days before the New Millennium. For there are many gullible, spiritually-starving people, who will read it and believe. And together we shall make lots of money. And he did."
Rating: Summary: Just Five Words Review: Predictable-Politically-Correct-Millennium-Fictio
Rating: Summary: Best novel I've ever read Review: From the moment I turned the first page, I was riveted. This novel was thought provoking, scary, just wonderful. I was especially impressed that a man would come up with such a premise and actually follow it through to the logical conclusion. You will either love this book or hate it, but it will slam through your psyche like a freight train run amok. I would expect to see Mr. Kleier on several death lists for this book. Any novel that can stir up so much controversy is headed for classic status. I have recommendd this book to all of my friends and relatives.I think that i have bought something like ten copies for gifts and I went out and bought the hardcover to keep on hand for future re-reads.
Rating: Summary: Gripping tale of suspense Review: Any book that can motivate over 450 people to write in about it has got to be something very special. And this one is. It's the most unique novel I've ever read, combining fact with fiction to address one of the most controversial issues of our time. The result is a heart-pounding account of what might happen if a "legitimate" messiah were to visit this planet again. But this book is NOT religious. It's a dark mystery, developed as a critical appraisal of contemporary religion, blended into a send-up on the Second Coming and finished off with a totally unexpected, brilliant climax. The most astounding thing, I found, was how true this story rings--it's incredibly incisive and believable. Once you start it, it's impossible to put down, twisting your emotions through the most unexpected and amazing journey. Its message is provocative, but hauntingly logical--and something that most organized religions will wish you were never exposed to.
Rating: Summary: I thought Glenn Kleier made a great debut ! Review: I thoughly enjoyed the book. I loved that the messiah was a female, and loved what the character stood for. I can't wait for his next book.
Rating: Summary: ok, umm, it's a book. Review: I really think that most of you need to relax a little. It's a book. Not all of us have blind faith in organized religion, and we like to see those of you who do get all worked up when someone doesn't share your beliefs. Too much fun.
