Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Profound Review: How wonderful to get involved in reading a series where each succeeding book is better than the one before. This has held true so far in the "Left Behind" series. Much of the dialogue in the third book, "Nicolae" is downright profound. As the personality and agenda of the Antichrist is revealed to have overtones of Hitler's reign, the narrative turns almost scary. The authors talent abounds in this third fast-paced page turning novel. The insight into the "end days prophecy" is not only thought inspiring at times it rings with such reality it is totally mind-boggling. A well written captivating series...

Why are the chareacters always so boring? Why do they always make it seem like morality suddenly becomes black and white? Why do they always seem like they are written for fifth graders? Why are Christian novels so BAD? If y6ou've asked yourself these questions, buy We All Fall Down. Smart, funny, and totally engrossing, this is the best novel about Christianity that I've ever read.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: A good tool Review: This book begins with the Tribulation Force recovering from the death of its mentor, and one of the team will save Tsion Ben-Judah. In this part of the series, the population must survive the first part of the seal judgments. The pace of the books in this series is fast. This book is no exception. I found myself caught up in the events and eagerly looking for the next book. I would recommend having the next book ready to read. The strength of this series is that it will increase your interest in the Book of Revelation. I think this a valuable tool and recommend it.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Leave it Behind!!! Review: ...these books are poorly written. I read through the first two books in record time, but this was just the same thing repeated over and over again. There comes a time when enough is enough. I'd recommend the first book in the series and probably the second. But don't waste your time going beyond that.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Good Stuff Review: I was kinda worried to start reading these books cuz im not a religious person and to be honest it kinda irritates me when people start talking about religion a lot, but i started to books anyway and i have finished 5 books now in the past month. these are actual good books...the characters are good and its basically an easy read. i definitely recommend this series.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Nicolae Who? CHRISTOPHER IS MUCH MORE CONVINCING! Review: This book in the Left Behind series is called Nicolae but Nicolae is harldy even in this book. Again, this entry in the series focuses almost entirely on the private lives of Rayford, Buck and friends. When I heard about this series I had really hoped for insight into Revelation and the end times. Instead we're given endless detail about the Trib Force members and only the most elementary presentation of prophetic events. Like many readers, I have found The Christ Clone Trilogy far more satisfying to my desire to understand the Tribulation. Instead of Left Behind's rigid repetition of scriptural description with no real-world explanation of what it means or how it could occur, The Christ Clone Trilogy gives plausible scenarios based in real science and politics, as well as staying true to scripture. And as far as believable Antichrists, Nicolae Carpathia is a cardboard puppet compared to Christopher Goodman.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: This book and this series. . . Review: . . .concerns me for a number of reasons. Reason One) The writing is really poor. For someone like myself, who grew up reading the Classics -- and who was always challenged to "reach" and to "strech myself" with regard to my reading, the quality of the writing (or lack thereof) was a significant "turn-off". Reason Two) The character development is virtually non-existent. While great writers (Charles Dickens comes to mind) frequently used "flat characters" as a literary device, the authors of this series seem ONLY to use "flat characters". The "Left Behind" characters seem to be "all good" or "all evil" and make the "jump" from evil (or unsaved) to good with a minimum of struggle. I don't see this as realistic. As the series progresses, the only truly interesting character -- and the only character who seems to be developing a personality is Nicolae! (And I don't think that it is the intent of the authors to promote sympathy for the bad guy!) Reason Three) The theology presented is presented as "the" correct interpretation of Revelation, embraced by all "true believers". This is nonsense. The theology of Revelation propounded in this series is a 19th century invention, accepted by only a very small minority of Protestant Christians. It does not represent what most Christians (regardless of denominational affiliation) have believed about Last Things for the entire history of Christianity. Reason Four) I find the underlying anti-Catholicism derogatory and offensive. If the authors have theological disagreements with Catholicism, I freely respect that. However, Catholicism is not accurately portrayed here -- rather, it is caricatured. Again, the identity of the "false prophet" is clear; the concept that the "false prophet" will be Pope is also clear -- and that Rome (and specifically the Vatican) will be the headquarters for the new "World Religion" is also clear. As a student of history and theology, I find this offensive in the extreme. I note that Amazon.com has, in the past, posted disclaimers with regard to certain openly anti-Semitic material available. I wish that similar disclaimers were posted with regard to antagonistically anti-Catholic materials as well.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: good book Review: this is a good book. but sometimes I think the author is too repetitive of the contents from previous ones.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: What can I say... Review: I don't know what I can say about his book series that hasn't already been said. This book definitely has quite a bit more action than its two predecessors. However, some of their actions are a little too extreme to be believed. It is hard to imagine a world where people are NOT stirring up controversies and trying to expose our heroes for who they are. Also, the text is written on a level appropriate for a 12-year old. This is both good and bad. While it can feel at times that the authors are speaking down to the reader, most people do not have the knowledge of the End Times that would be required to understand all of the nuances of the plot twists. Also, having the book written on an easier does make for a fast read which is appreciated. I feel this a good Christian novel, but it is not the only one out there - and definitely not the best. I rated this book generously because it was an enjoyable read, but the series starting to get a little difficult to swallow. Still, I purchased book 4 in the series today. Why 4 stars:? While there are some flaws with the characters and the writing, this book is a good introduction into the world of Christian fiction and helps to bring the world of Christian media into the hands of believers and non-believers alike. Moreover, it is a quick read that will keep the reader turning the pages.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Better than the last one Review: This is the 3rd book in the series and the action picks up considerably. After being a wee bit disappointed with Tribulation Force I was hoping for better and that is what I got. The story continues with Rayford and Buck still in employment by Nicolae Carpathia. This one reads more like an adventure novel than the previous two and that alone makes it much more readable. The book is titled as "the rise of the Antichrist" but this particular character really didn't appear until almost the end of the book when the "Wrath of the Lamb" (a massive worldwide earthquake) takes place. It would have been better to have had a bit more development of the character of Carpathia. After all, he is the ultimate "bad guy" The book is a definite page turner and will keep you on the edge of your seat. I read this book to many complaints from the other side of the bed as to when I was intending to put out the light. Many people have given these books a hard time for such things as poor writing or poor interpretation. Could it simply be that there are none so blind as those who don't want to see. Even though these books are works of fiction, they are pointing to the fact that Christ will return soon and if you are not ready you will face the Tribulation MARANATHA!
