Summary: GREAT!! Come on--when's the next one coming out?!!!
Review: Hey, if you hadn't read the first two books (Left Behind and then Tribulation Force...go read it!!) Now about this book, wow..... It's is awesome!! I've antipicated this book and I'm glad it is finally in my hands. I can sit down, read with my hearts content, pray...and so much more. You feel like you are IN the story. (Especially one certain part that kept you on your heels!!) Everyone, if you hadn't known this, there should be about 4 MORE COMING OUT!!!!!!! About 1 every year. I'm too impatient..I have to read them now! lol Well, this has been one of the 3 greatest books I've ever read!! An absolute MUST!!!!!!

Summary: I've never seen anything like it!
Review: Though I have been associated with some bestsellers, Nicolae takes the cake. It sold more than 200,000 in hardback within two months of release. Four more to come in this Left Behind series, and we have sold the film option to the first one.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Yet another mediocre end-times novel.
Review: A series about the end times has great potential for some fascinating writing and adventure. It could also lend itself to some significant thoughtfulness and insight to the psychological and spiritual experiences of people approaching the end of history. Sadly, this series merely skims the surface of the deeper issues and only delivers a shallow read.

This particular book, volume three in the series, seems to meander and wander without really advancing the plot very much. Every now and then a catastrophic event occurs to shake up the world and kill more people, but there isn't any real sense of building suspense or character development.

While this book does not emphasize the romantic plotline as much as the previous volume, every so often the authors stray too far afield into sentimentalism. For instance, on p. 88, when Buck is looking for his missing wife, it says, "Would he have the will to go on without her? She had become the center of his life, around which everything else revolved." Regardless of what denominational background you come from, if you're a Christian of any kind, you should be alarmed at this kind of language. In no way should a human being become the center of a person's life, even a spouse. God should be central, not any human relationship. This overemphasis on the marriage relationship is unhealthy, even codependent.

Furthermore, the dialogue continues to be simplistic and inauthentic. Certain sections seem to have been written to argue a point to the reader, such as the sections about abortion and the reasons for the pro-life position. This comes across stilted and out of place.

Overall, the book lacks the kind of well-researched, polished writing that one would expect from this kind of so-called thriller. It doesn't have the degree of narrative, descriptive and technical detail of a book by Tom Clancy or even Frank Peretti. One gets the sense that the authors are just cranking out a book every year to sell books, and the publishers don't bother to provide much editing because they know these books will sell, no matter how poorly written they are.

Summary: When is the next book coming out?
Review: Tim & Jerry have created rich, real characters. I feel as though Chloe, Rayford and Buck are members of my family. I felt their turmoils, joys and the uncertainty of the last days. Those who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior need to meet him. With today's headines do you realize how close you are to being "Left Behind?" I wouldn't want you to meet up with Nicolae in a dark alley. Excellent book!!!!

Summary: gripping tale of the ultimate battle between good and evil
Review: The Antichrist is alive and well in New Babylon. A small group of survivors called the TRIBULATION FORCE were LEFT BEHIND following worldwide catastrophe and the disappearance of millions. Only their efforts can prevent the destruction of life on Earth as we know it. NICOLAE by Tim Lahaye and Jerry B. Jenkins is the third of their trilogy based on end-of-the-world events described in REVELATION and the most suspenseful. You'll be convinced that an obscure politician from Romania could emerge as the most powerful man on the planet and impressed with the resourcefulness of the few who choose to defy him. Lahaye and Jenkins have carefully integrated significant elements of biblical prophecy into the narratives of the entire trilogy, and those familiar with this vision of the future of mankind will appreciate the details they provide, but their work is equally recommended to the apocalyptically-challenged. High-tech. Fast pace. Big money. High stakes. NICOLAE is the guy you'll love to hate.

Summary: Not as good as the first two, but good nonetheless.
Review: I am a frequent traveller and find that I always need something to read while on the plane. I happened to pick up Left Behind and had finished it in two 3 hour plane rides. I did similarly with Tribulation Force. Nicolae, however, did not live up to the other two. I found the begining and ending to be fantastic, but the core of the book seamed stale to me-Especially after the way the first two gripped me from cover to cover. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I didn't like it, I loved it. It's just tough to top perfection. Tim and Jerry have set a standard that is extremely tough to beat-even for them. I cannot wait for the fourth book in this series.

Summary: Thi is a A Must Read for everyone
Review: This is yet another fantastic book in the riveting series on the end times. I read it through in one sitting. An absolute spellbinder...Can't wait until the next one comes out... Sure am glad I won't be left behind!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The first "Mitchner" style book about future history!!
Review: There is only one book in the world that has accurately prophesied future world events - the Bible. The "Left Behind" series accurately gives a true true "timeline" of the last days of the earth, while filling it in with fictional characters who represent the lives of people like you and me. Read this riveting book and you will unlock the simple, yet profound truths about the future that you will face...whether you believe it or not!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This series is addictive. Keep'em coming.
Review: Darn you Tim and Jerry, I want more. I foud that this book was a little repetative in sections, only because I read this book as soon as I was done with "The Tribulation Force" Keep'em coming!!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Riveting could not put it down. Read it in 4 days.
Review: More compelling than "Piercing the Darkness" or "This present Darkness" more believable. It usually takes me 5-8 days to read a book. I read the whole series in less then 14 days. From the moment you are first introduced to Steele, Buck and Chloe, you find yourselve becoming a part of their adventure. I have passed it on to my teenage boys who are reading it for school. I highly recommend the series to all readers. This series has made me rethink my attitude towards the Rapture. I don't want to be Left Behind. Neither should you.
