Rating: Summary: Great books, but accurate? Review: I love all three of these books. Riveting story, great characters, couldn't put 'em down. But, something no one is mentioning: what if the rapture occurs AFTER the Tribulation? If so, lots of folks will be misled and disappointed. The church believed the rapture and the second coming would be at the end of the trib. for 1800 years! Virtually all of the church fathers thought so. Read 1 thess. and 2 thess., Matt. 24, and Rev. 20. It sounds like the rapture comes after the trib. And why are christians being warned in the bible about the antichrist, and trib. suffering etc. if it's something that they supposedly would never see? Check out Walter Martin's tape about the church and the Tribulation available from CRI at equip.org. And str.org has similar view. thanks.
Rating: Summary: Great Reading Review: About a year or two ago, my wife and mother in law and others in my family began reading the books in this series. I didn't notice them til this last August. Then I read Left Behind. I took me about a week. Immediately I was hooked. Since they'd already read Tribulation Force and were working on Nicholea, I was able to read the second book right away. This took 4 days to read. By the time I was ready to read Nicholea some one else was reading it. I had to wait about a month before they finished and got the book back. This book took 3 days. It's now hard for me to read anything else. Nothing else seems so real and alive. Now I get my first real taste of a wait, EIGHT MONTHS!!!! That's okay, take your time. It apparently works. God Bless you two for this Book.
Rating: Summary: Reads like a magazine article Review: I've read all 3 books and don't get me wrong I've enjoyed them but I was a little disappointed that it didn't move more quickly. I really wish there was more detail. I found it a bit predictible.
Rating: Summary: 10% Can't-put-it-down substance, 90% filler Review: I would have to rate Left Behind as one of my two favorite books of all time, a definite 10 rating. Tribulation Force certainly falls within my top ten favorites scoring at least an 8. Nicholae, however, seems to have dropped off greatly. It appears to me that the idea of a seven book series seems to be a novel idea (no pun intended), but after reading Nicholae, I'm afraid of more filling dialogue as opposed to the gripping action and suspense of the first book. I am still enough of a fan to continue to read the series but had I known what I know now, I would have gone to the book store and simply read Chapter 19 (and would not have missed out by doing so). I love the series but it appears to me to be a ploy to make twice the amount of money to tell a story that could be sufficiently be told in three (maybe four).
Rating: Summary: These are without a doubt the best books I've ever read! Review: I read the first two as fast as I've ever read a book and when I finally got my hands on the third I couldn't put that down either! Waiting for the next four will be the most difficult thing for me to accomplish! The movie will be great. Great work, Tim and Jerry!
Rating: Summary: I can't wait for book # 4! Review: I have read all three books and I loved all of them! I can't wait until the next one. I heard that 'Left Behind' is being made into a movie, I'll be sure to watch that one! I think a great name for the next book is 'The Wrath of the Lamb' What do you think?
Rating: Summary: Earth Shakeing Review: Got all 3 books Dec 25, they where so powerful and realistic, that you feel as if you are there. Should open any ones, heart, mind and soul, to the truth. Yes!!! Jesus is soon to come, and many will miss him. Cant wait for the next book in Aug.(they sure do write slow. LOL)
Rating: Summary: An excellent read! Review: Nicolae was a quick read. All three books in the series have been passed from one family member to another, seven adults out of ten. My entire family has been compelled to read each book and discuss them fully. It will be very difficult to wait for the next in the series. I am pleased with the effect it has had on the people around me. Both my husband and myself have picked up our Bible and read and re-read several passages trying to associate the story with the Bible. We have also tried to predict where the characters are headed in the next book of the series. All I can say is " write quickly!" we are all anxious to read the next book.
Rating: Summary: A definate top in what is REALITY in this world!!!!!! Review: I just finished reading Nicolae and I have read both Tribulation Force and Left Behind. These books are by far the closest telling of what the near future holds- starting with the Rapture of the REAL Christians being taken up to heaven. This book is helpful to Christians, as well as nonChristians, to better understand what is in the coming days. Frank Perriti has always been my favorite, but Tim and Jerry beat them all. Unlike most books, the characters do what YOU would have done if you were in the same situation. It also includes the women like the wonderful Chloe. A definite must read for all teens as well as adults!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: An Update from the Writer Review: Sorry for the immodest rating! More than a million have sold in the series, 250,000 of those have ben Nicolae in just its first four months. Be watching for the 4-book juvenile series on the same subject next summer and for four more in the adult series, one each August for the next four years. Thanks for all the kind comments.
