Summary: Best Left Behind so far
Review: I have read the first four books and this is by far the best. It is so intence and keeps you wanting to read on until the end. With not even a single dule moment this will be one of the best for sure. I hope the others are just as good.

Summary: Not a perfect series but better than some give it credit for
Review: So far, I've read all eleven Left Behind novels, and while they are not perfect, I think that some people don't give it enough credit because of unfair comparisons. People often point to We All Fall Down and The Christ Clone trilogy as better novels, and in a way, they are, but they are also very different. Left Behind seems to be more of an introduction to the subject of the End Times, a series that is reaching out to all people of different ages. It's not particularly well written, but it is clear and straightforward. The characters are not particularly realistic or interesting, but these are not character studies, these are novels that are trying to give people an overview of this concept, and they do that quite well.

To compare these to other novels with similar themes is a little bit unfair. We All Fall Down is much better written and more intelligent, but the focus of that novel is much more intensley spiritual and more of a character study that uses the End Times as a backdrop to explore complex issues of evil and salvation. It is for more mature, serious readers and it's aim is very different from Left Behind. Likewise, The Christ Clone is more of a techno-thriller, interested in exploring how, realistically the End Times could arive. I will admit that I enjoyed these other books more than Left Behind, but that does not take away from the fact that Left Behind still does a decent job with the subject. They are not great novels, but they are nowhere near as bad as some people are saying.

Summary: Left Behind, Tribulation Force...
Review: I'm writing this review on the Nicolae page because I happened to land here. I have only read the first two books in the series--I quit on Nicolae. As a Christian I am embarrased by the poor writing in these books. The characters are so paper thin and unbelievable that I don't see how anyone can identify with them. The writers seem to have absolutely zero flair for capturing the range of emotions common to human beings and they have no talent for writing realistic dialogue. Even the non-Christians seem to come out of a Norman Rockwell painting. Really, really bad writing. Lame...very lame. If you want to read some good Christian novels, pick up "Pontius Pilate" and "The Flames of Rome" by Paul Maier; or some C.S. Lewis books like the Space Trilogy or The Screwtape Letters. They're not only thought provoking but they are skillfully written as well.

Summary: more action than the first two
Review: This one was more face-paced than the first two books, which made it hard to put down. There's more action, more events happening, not so much downtime and thinking and pondering of the characters. Many parts are edge-of-your-seat reading, so read and enjoy!

Summary: No More Peace....
Review: It has been 18 months since the seven-year peace treaty was signed between Israel and what was the United Nations. New Babylon has emerged as the new center of the world, housing the Global Community. The people who were left behind after the massive disappearances have moved on with their lives. And so has the Tribulation Force. But all good things must come to an end....

World War III has broken out all over the world except for in Israel. Of course, Global Community Grand Potentate Nicolae Carpathia is responsible for most of it. Long after the insurrectionists have been neutralized, Carpathia continues to destroy city after city all over the world while convincing the world that the insurrecitonists are the ones responsible.

Most of this third edition of the "Left Behind" series deals with the aftermath of WW3 and the rescue of Tsion Ben-Judah from Israel after the brutal murder of his family. While the first two books spent more time developing the characters, which alienated some people, this book grabs your attention quickly and never lets go. The action is fast paced and constant. No sooner than the Tribulation Force has dealt with the second seal being broken (WW3), they then have to deal with the third and fourth seals (plague, famine, death). And just when they finally have time to catch their breath, the sixth seal, the wrath of the Lamb, is broken.

If book two turned you off, then "Nicolae" should be enough to bring you back to the series.

Summary: Nicolae another great book
Review: The third book in this series was just as great as the others.

As a gift last Christmas my friend gave me the entire Left Behind series and told me I should read it. I started out with the first and am slowly working my way into the series.

In this book Buck, Rayford and there wives are still trying to find the answers they need. This book has it all the action, the adventure, the plot twists.

Overall, this was a great book, and I can't wait to read the rest in the series.

Summary: When is anything ever going to happen?
Review: The series was based on an intriguing topic, but the author took so disgustingly long to say anything the only thing left in the series was suspense, and the only suspense was: WHEN IS ANYTHING EVER GOING TO HAPPEN??

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not the best
Review: I'm just going to say that I read the other two books in a matter of days, this one took me a week and a half. The beginning and the end were exciting, but the middle draaaaags and the writing is not the best I've ever seen. Simple things like repetitive descriptions within the same paragraph and dumb unnecessary descriptive clauses like "Antichrist Himself" used many many many times in the same chapter. I found these things annoying, but maybe that's because I'm an English Major. All in all, I'm glad I read it and I'm on to the next. I'd recommend reading this book if only for the chronology of the character's lives and what happens at the end. It's not as suspenseful as the second one was where you need to go from chapter to chapter because they all leave you hanging. However, good read...

Summary: DON'T TURN AWAY ANY LONGER- READ THIS SERIES
Review: This book and its series are wonderful. I had the books for so long because my family read them. Finally I did and I read the first four books in two weeks!!!! I could not put them down. I read them when I woke up, getting ready for work, at work, during dinner and before I went to bed!!! Finally there is a series of books for the average reader that will keep you on your toes wanting more. I can't wait until I have read them all so I can finally get a good nights sleep without- well....I'll read just one more chapter......
