Rating: Summary: Good concept Review: The part of the book that is meant to be the real twist is Worf's brother being part of the attack force. The idea that Worf will perhaps betray the Federation or go lightly against the invading force because of the sibling relationship. The concept of a point that would test people's moral standing and commitment is the crux of most Star Trek books and stands true here as well. Of course betrays the Federation, sides with his brother and helps to overthrow and destroy all of his past comrades.

Rating: Summary: Unpromising. Review: There is a hilarious scene in this book where Chief O'Brien thinks Dr. Bashir is dead and, standing over the "corpse" (the good doctor is faking it) delivers what he considers a truthful eulogy....to Bashir, it is pitifully inadequate, natch. I bought the book on the basis of this scene and found that there wasn't much else. No Klingon in his right mind would have given Worf the run of the station, much less refrained from chasing the crew with bat'leths. And to introduce Worf's brother and then drop him as a plot device is an anticlimax. I never even found out how the book ended, because I tossed it over my shoulder...with a vengeance.
Rating: Summary: A very good book about Klingons Review: This book is very well written. The author, has done a good job with all the characters, especially Worf, Rom, Chief O'Brien and Quark. Also with this book, you get to know a bit more about Klingon culture, for example when Dax is telling Worf about Sisko's orders, and when Worf is talking to his Blood-Brother. However, The author could have elaborated slightly on the Character of Kurn son of Mogh, Now Rodek. It would have been a bit more interesting if this character had been more involved with the story. I would recommend this book too any trek fan, especially those who want to know more about the Klingons.
Rating: Summary: This not a very good book. Review: This book uses an idea from a Deep Space Nine episode, i.e. Way of the Warrior. But worst of all, the characters aren't even recognizable. The one thing that supports my point is when Major Kira explains to a Starfleet ensign about coordinates and relativity in space. Major Kira would never say anything like that. And Commander Dax, when has she been so dumb? Worst of all, it's like a soap operah. Commander Worf is torn between loyalty and blood ties. There is not one good point in this book, but I respect Dafydd Ab Hugh, so I shall not give him a 1. But please, Mr. Ab Hugh, let L.A. Graf or Diane Carey or Michael Jan Friedman write Star Trek novels.
Rating: Summary: Advanced warning, DON'T BUY AT ALL! Review: This book was absolute rubbish. The characters were not portrayed in their true light. Full names were given as well as rank. Dafydd hasn't done well at all here. The idea was good, it would probably have been excellent if written by Diane Carey. Don't buy!

Rating: Summary: A really good trek novel! Review: While Captain Sisko and the Defiant are in the Gamma Quadrant, the Klingons take control of Deep Space Nine. Commander Worf is captured in Operations. He soon realizes that one of the Klingon's is his own brother. In order to possibly save the station, he must outwardly appear to be a traitor and help the Klingons. At the same time, he's doing everything he can to help his comrades regain control of the station. Even to his comrades, he appears to be a traitor. I believe "Vengeance" is in good keeping with the author's latest work. I really liked this one though. It has Klingons a plenty. The humor in this book is right on time. This is one of those rare trek books, where I found myself laughing quite often. The character interactions are absolutely great in this book! At times this is an extremely fast paced book, that leaves your head spinning. For brief, but necessary, times the pace slows down. Overall, a really good trek novel and thank you to author for a good read.
