Rating: Summary: Vampire Fans! Hang on tight! Review: Another ride on the good ol' roller-coaster of adrenalin! Who says books can't raise your blood pressure? For those who think so: Read Blade! Awesome action, packed with vampire-slaying excitement, and intense fun! I haven't even seen the movie, though I'm about to. If all movie-novels were like Blade, Carmike Cinemas will be seeing me more often.
Rating: Summary: Awesome book Review: Blade is an awesome book to read. The author is very descriptive. If I had to read one book the rest of my life, it would be Blade. I thought Blade was and is and ever will be the most intriguing book to read. Blade is the only book I've ever read in my whole life on my own, without being forced to by a teacher. If you like to read about bounty hunters and vampires, I strongly suggest Blade.
Rating: Summary: Awesome book, you gotta read it! Review: Blade is the tightest book you'll ever want to read!!! The movie and the book are amazing. I've been watching the movie a hella-lot of times and you'll also like the book. Buffy v. Blade??? Blade all the way! cause he's the #1 slayer!
Rating: Summary: BLADE ... Review: Blade was .... completely different from the movie. The movie had more fighting and you didn't get to see the true meaning of the novel. The movie described Blade as a cold blooded slayer with no mercy. The novel describes Blade as someone who risks his life everyday to save the human race in spite of the fact that the human race thinks he's a murderer and wants him dead. He uses his powers to serve and protect the very species that depises and fears him-our own. He has the power of an immortal, the soul of a human, and the heart of a hero.
Rating: Summary: BLADE KICKS ASS Review: Blade was a kick ass book, completely different from the movie.
Rating: Summary: Teenager? Hate to read, like me? You'll love this book. Review: Blade was the all time best book. If you want to hear 'bout kick butt superheroes and dark heroes in the midst of the ghetto, with vampires hangin' out, definitely pick up this book. It's probably the only book that I picked up on my own and actually read the whole thing without being forced to. So pick it up, you won't be sorry.
Rating: Summary: Deacon Frost Rules Review: I loved both the book and the movie. I was really surprised at how the book captured the manic energy of the movie and the complexity of the characters. The book really delves into the deeper areas of the characters and captures the feeling that it's hard not to admire Frost while you're hating him, he's an awesome villain. Even if you haven't seen the movie, read the book, it's an absolute must for anyone who's a fan of Anne Rice or vampires in general, as well as anyone who wants to read a well-crafted piece of literature.
Rating: Summary: Great expression of feeling. My fave. book. Review: I loved how it expanded the feelings of the characters. It showed me another side of Deacon Frost. In the movie I thought he was so cool, but now I realize that he has bad sides too. I loved the suspense that occured in the Temple of the night with the two occurings which were Blade sucking Karen's blood and Deacon Frost under the drop of blood falling from the ceiling. I like how the book tells you what the names of the people are because before I read the book I thought Mercury's name was Raquel. (I was Mercury for Halloween and was saying I was Raquel.) The ending of the book was so much better than the ending of the movie. It was extremely suspenseful and I think another book should be made and hopefully with that another movie. I am still on the vampire's side though. The movie was my second fave. movie and I have seen it four times. I love the book very much. I guess that is about as much praise as I can give the book. I couldn't keep from reading the next chapter once I finished one. It is one of the few books I would read more than once.A lot more than once. I cannot waait to read it again.
Rating: Summary: Read the book before the movie. Trust me, the book is better Review: I loved it. This is a story about a half-human, half-vampire man. Can he stop the whole world from being turned to vampires?
Rating: Summary: Blade was much like the movie Review: I thought Blade was very true to the movie, I read it after the movie came out but it was still good. I was a little disappointed that it didn't expand on some of the storyline themes like it could have....but it was a good book nonetheless. I liked the characters in the book for the same reasons I did in the movie...just basically that Blade is a tragic character really..and it would have been nice to know more about his past and his link with Whistler. A good book if you like the action type.
