Rating: Summary: Do you LOVE fantasy? Review: In 1994, Terry Goodkind wrote a smash hit fantasy... "The Wizard's First Rule" ... that is by far the best book that I have ever read. It is a heart warming tale about a nobody trailguide from a small town who is used to small things and a woman who is more tan a queen. When their paths cross, the fireworks start. The trail guide(Richard) jouneys to a faraway land in a magical quest to halt the subjegation of the entire world. The next four books are no less spellbinding thatn the first. Richard discovers that he is a wizard and has a power that none have been born with in over three thousand years. He then goes against a foe that will surely destroy the world of the living, the Keeper of the Underworld. Richard then fights his way through an evil emperor, a plauge started by magis and the chimes of death, all while conquering the world and marrying his one true love! This sieries is by far, in my opinion, the best ever written in all time. A riviting quest, multiple sub-quests, and many different characters make this sieries one that you have to read. A must buy for anyone who loves magic, adventure and never ending excitement!
Rating: Summary: Magic is Real Review: In the stories of "The sword of Truth" series, Goodkind has created a world where magic is real. In this place, sensations are balistic and situations are dynamic; and you become part of them. The heros are more powerful and sympathetic than any friend you have ever known. The villians are more lethal than the monsters of unshakable nightmares. Armed with special magic, Richard, Kahlan, Zedd and Adie use their gifts to battle sorcerous foes; specters who can inflict devistation and destruction at ease. The dangers are unlike anything our world can produce, and even magic is of little use to save the innocent. Victory is possible only because the defenders are more clever than their enemies, and are devoted to love and life.
Rating: Summary: Great stories for anybody! Review: Let me start off by saying that I do not normally like Fantasy novels. I've tried to read a few, and I find most of them extremely boring. I do like the fantasy genre, i.e. movies, and I like Tolkien, but for the most part, fantasy novels in and of themselves are boring to me. Anyways, my husband is a fan of the fantasy genre, and we were together for 2 years before he finally convinced me to read these books. We made a deal that if I read the SoT series, he would read the Harry Potter series. Well, I read them all the first time voraciously! I have not been so engrossed in a book series since Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings! These books are easy to read for those of us who don't normally read fantasy novels, and they are extremely exciting and suspensful! I found myself skipping household chores so that I could sit down with Richard and Kahlan and find out what would happen next to them. I am now on my 2nd time through them, and even though I know what to expect now, they are no less exciting! I am so in love with these stories that I became a regular on Terry Goodkind's website and found out about Naked Empire before my husband did!! I recommend these books to anybody who loves a good story, with romance, drama, suspense, and a bit of comedy. I can't wait to start on Naked Empire!

Rating: Summary: Treey Goodkind Review: My review of the Sword of Truth books is very good. It is my opinion that Terry Goodkind is an all time number one writer. As for the Sword of Truth books, They are very exellent because of the background and continueance of the same story. Explosive plots, charicters ranging from Nuns to satans minion.
Rating: Summary: A good imatation Review: Ok, first off, that one 12 year old kid who said these were the best books, obviously never read "The Wheel of Time". When you read these you think, WOT hardcore, kind of like the ECW is hardcore wrestling, same thing. This took the plots and ideas of the Wheel and gave 'em a hardcore touch. Not that it isn't well written, the dialog is just as unbelievable as most of current fantasy, a flaw most fantasy readers have grown used to. There's the Tolkien ideas, Dark Lords, magic rings or swords or trinkets, made up monsters, ect. Then there the Robert Jordan ideas, women with a "one power", complete calmness of mind, group of remote people who almost all follow a Super-hero leader, ect. There are a lot of good charecters in this series, ones that keep you thinking about their fates long after the books are over. Overall, it uses the same tricks other Epic Fantasies of our day, and rakes in the cash. Buy it for a good time, don't expect any new ideas, though, just a good imatation.
Rating: Summary: Reader Review: OMG this is the best series of books I have ever ready. I will be devistated when the last book of this series is written. I am always left wanting to read more after each of his books. If you read and love these books also try books written by David Eddings, Robert Jordan, and I loved In The Eyes of A Dragon by Steven King. (Not his usual gory kind of book) Although, Goodkind is the best but these others are also very good...Sarah
Rating: Summary: Great Fantasy fiction Review: Terry Goodkind gives fantasy readers the oppertunity to read a book that dares to use adult interacion on a much more intimate level than most fantasy novels. You realy care about what happens to the characters and the story is well told. Goodkind has a remarkable ability to keep his story fresh and new and at the same time give Fantasy readers the magic that they've captured in previous fantasy works.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Literature Review: The book as all previous Terry Goodkind books is excellent. No writer, except maybe David Eddings, have yet reached the magnificance that is Terry Goodkind. Even Robert Jordan with Wheel of Time is Seriously Lacking. This book scillfully crafts the further tales of Richard and Kahlan, which started in The Wizard's First Rule". If you enjoyed the previous books in the series, then be sure to pick up this one.
Rating: Summary: The first 4 are brilliant.... Review: The first 4 books in this series deserve 5 stars each. A very 'real' fantasy world with 'real' heroes and a fast moving pace, and the all important love-theme. The fifth is terrible, a desperate attempt at a complete change in direction, to bridge the gap between the 4th and 6th books. It has no story line, most of the characters are dull, irrelevant and doomed to die anyway. However, the first books are so good that you'll probably want to buy this as well once you've read them. My advice is to risk the tempation and go straight from 4 to 6 as that picks up the pace again. The 5th book is just not necessary, not even as a link between the two.
