Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Not as good as I hoped Review: I was expecting something like "Star Wars: The Magic of Myth" for Attack of the Clones. It's nothing like that. There's no explination behind the story, mostly it just tells how the movie was made. There's tons of pictures but it is poorly organized and every page sings the praises of digital 'magic'. No depth to it at all.

Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: A Closer Look At How Myths Are Made Review: It's no secret that, I was disappointed in ATTACK OF THE CLONES, when I first saw it in theaters. When the DVD came out in November of 2002, I mentioned in a review, that the extras available on the 2 disc set were better than the film itself. I have always been interested in how films are made. Yes, even films that I have problems with, on the whole, I still like to find out all I can about them. It is the process of filmmaking itself, that I find most interesting, no matter if I like the film or not.In the case of CLONES, I couldn't wait to read the book on how the film was made. Part of the reason, for that, I guess was to try and figure out what makes Lucas and his team tick. How they come up with the decisions that make up the finished film, and so forth. Author Jody Duncan, who by the way, is no stranger to books of this type. She co-wrote the book that chronicled Episode One, and also authored the book on the making of the X-Files film. Both of which were pretty good reads in their own right. As for "Mythmaking", the book is a well thought out and facinating look at how this effects heavy opus was made. The text is pretty straight forward and will please both, those who are familiar with how films are mde, and those who are not, but want to learn. Of special interest will be the "on set" sidebars that appear throughout the entire 224 page book The book is divided into 9 sections, each one conerns a different location. The first and last chapters show you the inner workings of the famed ILM/Lucas Arts Ranch (pre and post production respectively). The 7 remaining chapters take you on a tour of people places and things, that make up Episode II. The book is loaded with full color photographs and sketches. Overall, it's a good book that should make a fine companion for anyone that owns the movie, and is recommended
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great scene by scene recap in filming schedule Review: lots of cool behind the scene pics and graphics(especially the one of Slave1)
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Well, it's actually called "Mythmaking" not "Myth Makers" Review: Regardless of what the title is, this is a great book. A detailed record of the creation of Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones, this book is filled with facts, photos and more. As with the Making of Phantom Menace book, this volume is once again compiled and written by Jody Duncan. There have been vast improvements in the last 3 years, and it shows. This book is much more thought out than the Making of Phantom Menace, and features many more photos, anecdotes and is all around more personable and enjoyable. Highly reccomended!
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Good To Own Review: Star Wars Mythmaking really doesn't live up to it's name with its contents. It alludes to similar content as in seen and read in Star Wars: Mafic of the Myth. However, this book is about the filming process of Attack of the Clones. Fans who loved Attack of the Clones and are in dire need of lesser known facts will rejoice in knowing this book covers them. Filimg dates, cut scenes, costumes, props and other facts are all covered. The book is similar to the TPM Behind the scenes but with less details and more photos.
