Summary: Gotta love it!
Review: This is my second favorite Jude book (1st is Rememberence) and I absolutely love it. It's a beautiful story and very well written. I was easily entranced with the characters and swept away with the story the minute I picked it up. I only have one complaint. The very explicit sex scene. Being only 15, I shouldn't be exposed to that kind of stuff! Oh well, tsk, tsk... it's a very good book anyway, and I highly recommend it.

Summary: I'm still crying over this love story.
Review: This was one of the most beautiful love stories I have ever read (and I've read quite a few). I read it when it was first available in 1995. It was also my first modern/historical time travel and because of it, I love that genre. I still get a lump in my throat when I think of the love Dougless & Nicholas shared and am still crying over this love story. I do agree with the reader who said she wished this book could have ended differently.

Summary: One of my all-time favorites!
Review: I started the Montgomery saga by reading the Velvet series, then moved on the the Four Corners of America series. Steadily, step by step, book by book, Deveraux got better and better and finally I snapped up A Knight in Shining Armor when it first came out in 1988 when I was sixteen. It was the absolute peak of Jude Deveraux's career and unfortunately for us, her readers, she has never matched the "Knight" since.

Nicholas and Dougless are a priceless couple and their reactions to each others' worlds is fabulous. Deveraux had a deft touch in showing all the minute little details of everyday life in both the 16th and 20th centuries. Want to know how a 16th century man deals with going to the bathroom in the 20th century? Want to know what Dougless discovered about what 16th century people used for toilet paper? You'll howl with laughter at the contrasts between the two worlds.

But this novel's not written strictly for chuckles. You'll cry along with Dougless when she's returned to the 20th century and faces the possibility of life without Nicholas.

A Knight is Shining Armor is magnificent. I still await the day when Ms. Deveraux reaches this degree of excellence once more.

Summary: Enchanting Escape
Review: "A Knight In Shining Armor" swept me away to a land that was enchanting. I applaud Jude Deveraux for this beautiful story. Once I started reading this book, I had to finish it and by the end of the story I wished Nicholas for my own. The story is exceptional because it not only occurs in the present, but takes you to land of a different time. The outcome is an enchanting escape from reality for a brief period of time.

Summary: The best ever
Review: The best Jude Devereaux book I have read so far. I spent many sleepless nights lost in this book. I am still trying to find another as good as this book, came close, but no cigar.

Summary: I LOVED this book until the end.
Review: I thought this was one of the very best books I have ever read. But I was so upset with how it ended. I guess maybe because I don't belive in re-incarnation that I could not be happy that she ends up with someone else. And I felt that he was cheated that he spent his whole life alone. They should have been together. The story tells how she can bring him to the future and she figures it out so why was she not allowd to. Or she should have stayed with him, she seemed content enough to do that.

Summary: It doesn't get better than this !!
Review: I have to say I LOVE THIS BOOK. I have to admit that I almost put it down in the beginning because I hated the way Dougless was so submissive in the beginning. But I stuck it out, and BOY AM I GLAD I DID. This is they best romance novel I have read by far. I love they way Jude takes you through 2 eras and they ending....WONDERFUL !! I couldn't stop crying. I started to get very sad as I got closer to finishing the book because I knew, and know now, that I would miss the characters. BRAVO !!!!

Summary: One of the Best Romance Novels Ever Written
Review: This is a romance novel like no other you will ever read! I could not put this down. The characters come alive and you are immediately engrossed in the atmosphere of both centuries. Romance novels are my favorite type of books and this is one of my favorites! If you are going to buy a romance novel by Jude Deveraux this is the one! "Wishes" is also great by Jude Deverauz but this is my favorite. Don't miss it!!

Summary: Non-stop Adventure and Romance!
Review: This is the very first romance novel I have ever read and the only reason I have it is because it was a free promotional gift for some soap I bought. I started reading it out of boredom over vacation and almost stopped reading it because I couldn't stand Dougless. But luckily I kept reading, and I was hooked. The book was surprisingly hilarious, and the plot twists and turns were well-constructed. I loved the rapport between Dougless and Nicholas and that in the end, their love passed through time. I may not be a full-time romance reader, but I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
