Summary: My Knight in Shinning Armor
Review: I read this book several years ago, and it still remains one of my all-time favorites. Nicholas is an amazing hero. Seeing his uncertainty in the 20th century, and then his confidence and ego in his own time makes him a very complex and layered character. If you have any interest in time travel books at all this is a MUST!

Summary: Best time travel!
Review: Okay, I'll say it. This is the first time I've read Jude Deveraux and I can't believe I haven't read her before! A Knight in Shining Armor is a wonderful, funny and touching book.

In 1988 Douglass Montgomery is on holiday with her live-in boyfriend in England. After a huge fight with him and his daughter Douglass is left behind with no money or passport. In grief she goes to the nearby church and cries out that she wishes she had a knight in shining armor. Low and behold Nicholas Stafford, the earl of Thornwyck appears out of sixteenth century England. At first Douglass doesn't believe him that he's from the sixteenth century. She finds his way of dress strange, his talk ridiculous and the fact that he doesn't know what a car is or how to use the bathroom is outrageous! Well, eventually Nicholas wins over Douglass and the two are set to finding out who tried to set Nicholas up for treason in Elizabethian times.

After finding no answers, Nicholas finally resigns himself that he will stay in the 20th century and that Douglass is the love of his life. As soon as the two fall in love, poof! Nicholas is gone back in time. Douglass is at a loss, especially since history has altered and Nicholas was beheaded for crimes he did not commit. She is determined to find the answers to clear his name. But as soon as she finds her answers she is wisked back in time to 1560 and finds herself at Nicholas's home, before he was an earl and everybody was happy, although Nicholas does not remember her.

Douglass must win over Nicholas's trust to change history again, knowing that once it is changed she will be dragged back to the twentieth century.

This story was wonderful! I highly recommend it to anyone, especially time travel lovers. I loved the way that Nicholas was so excited over little things we all take forgranted, such as can openers and vacuum machines. I also loved the interesting information that the readers learns of Elizabethian times. If you haven't read A Knight in Shining Armor, you must do so now!

Summary: A definite keeper!
Review: I read this book about 10 years ago. Usually if I can't get into a book within the first couple of pages it ends up in the reject pile. I wanted to yell at Douglass to dump that jerk Robert and throw his daughter into the Thames! For some reason I kept on reading, and was I ever hooked! The story is wonderful! A 16th century knight in a 20th century world and a 20th century woman in a 16th century world! I'll bet he looked dashing in his Armani! My original copy got lost years ago and I just reordered it to reread. It's as great now as it was the first 5 times I read it!

Summary: Couldn't Put it Down!
Review: I have read this book too many times to count. The pages are falling out of the book. Every time I've read this book I find it difficult to but it down for a minute. I'm surprised there are not water marks on the pages from the tears that have stained those pages on more than one occasion. This is the best book and I recommend it to all of my friends. So far, everyone has agreed with my sentiments.

Summary: This book made me feel as though I was seeing a play.
Review: Jude is one of my favorite authors, "A Knight in Shining Armor" is a book that I've read several times. The copy that I own has a different cover, the story made me feel as though I was transported back in time, the description of that era were so clear to me I felt myself being and living there right alongside of Douglas. Jude's book at times caused my imagination to run wild with all of her eye-catching details. I just love her "Books".

Rating: 5 stars
