Summary: Acorna's World
Review: Acorna's World leads you into areas unexplored about the whole system Ms. McCaffrey has set Acorna in in the first place. It was very fascinating to this avid S.F. & F. reader. As Acorna learns about her real world and people, we are treated to analogies that pertain to our own real world, and how we treat people, that are not really noticed until after you read it. As usual, the characters were realistic, the background/scenery descriptions were captivating. All in all, a fun jaunt through Acorna's world, with some twists to keep the reader intrigued.

Summary: Wonderful
Review: Although Acorna's World was not quite what i expected it was a great book. I could barely put it down. It is exciting with all of the little twists and turns expected from the reader. I give it an A+.

Summary: Acorna is fabulous
Review: Anne McCaffrey has always written books that read quickly, these books are, as usual, page turners. Her characters are always believable, and if you like fantasy, with a touch of science fiction, this is the author for you. I have been reading her books for twenty five years, and have never read one I didn't like, including her older, less mature efforts. If you haven't read her dragon books, you've missed the best dragon books there are!!

Review: Disgustingly silly. Seems that her books are getting more and more ridicilous. Book is full of complete nonsense, characters are [unrealistic],the whole thing is extremely childish. Of course, you'll have a holywood style happy ending. Blech.

And she should definitely go back to school to learn some physics and might want to use common sense. Aerosol torpedoes in space?

Review: I hated this book. The plot just didn't bring me in, I realy liked the idea but it just wasn't realy a good book. I have other books by Ann MiCafrey (I highly recomend Dragondrums) and I realy liked most of them, but I found this one to be a let down.

Summary: Far below her usual efforts
Review: I have been a fan of Anne McCaffrey for years, but this book seemed far below her usual standards. Aside from being rather boring and plotless, it also seemed rather childish. The plot just seemed to stumble along with no sense of direction. Throwing in silly inconsistencies, like hair changing color because you hopped a space craft did not help.

Summary: enjoyable read
Review: I have enjoyed McCaffrey's Acorna series but was alittle disapointed with the third book of the series. Acorna's World drew me back into the story with lively, lovable charaters and a exciting plot full of dangers. New characters such as Maati become much more then the two-diminsional characters they started out to be. A good relaxing read.

Review: I truly enjoyed this story of a silver haired girl, with a tiny horn and funny looking feet. she was found and befriended by three prospectors, who would appear to never be the type to care so deeply about this child.. it was wonderful to watch these three gruff men become tender care givers for this special child.
great reading
