Rating: Summary: I'm proud of Obi-Wan ! Review: Well, if ya ask me buying a book that says for ages Whatever to 12 I'm alittle imbarist! Not so! I lie! ( read the series, you'll know what I'm talking about )The J. A. books are worth it, all the way. Wen you read these books Jude makes you feel you're there right in the action. He makes ou feel you know the charectors. His way of writing is incredibal! I cryed so much during the last few books , I laughed alot too! You will too ( trust me! ) Obi-Wan and his Master Qui-Gon are not together any more, but still you can see the bond between them.Like Yoda said "If you choes not, then decid fate will." In this book: Even though Obi-Wan abd Qui-Gon are not master and padawan, they still work together and with other jedi too unravel the mystery at the Temple. If you've read all the J. A. books ,it is very obvious who the "bad guy" is. Well, after he escapes Obi-Wan venturs off with Qui-Gon too try and stop "The Dark Rivel"! I'm getting "A Day of Reconing" soon ! I've got an 11 hour flight July 1 and the J. A. books will be there with me ! This all boiles down to: Read The Jedi Apprentace Book Series ! May The Force Be With You And Peace over Anger. Honor over Hate. Strangth over Fear. Light over Dark. Jedi over Sith. . . God over All! Your felow Jedi Knight, ?
Rating: Summary: My favorite Review: This is my favorite book! I don't think there is a better author in the world! If you want to read this book, I suggest you read #1 first, then #2, #3 and so on. Also, order all of them at the same time. Cause you're goanna want to read the next immediately! (I didn't take more than half an hour for me to finish my first.) If it seems boring in the beginning, don't stop. It will get cooler.
Rating: Summary: Hankie Alert! Review: I've never been so close to crying when reading a book! Obi-Wan must feel as if every Jedi is against him after the betrayl in 'Defenders of the dead' book. This is the best book out of the Jedi Apprentice series so far (I'll probably change my mind soon!)
Rating: Summary: the captive temple Review: these books by jude watson are great. i've read all 8 of them and want to read more. if you read this jude don't let this end here with 8, keep it going. i can't wait for the 9th,10th, etc.
Rating: Summary: Give Me One GOOD Reason Why this Isn't an Excellent Book... Review: Jude Watson is an excellent author; she uses great writting techniques. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat as you read this amazing book. Each chapter ends in a cliff-hanger, so as you are reading, pace yourself. That is just a shortened list of reasons why this is a great book. If you liked this book, you should read all the others in the series.
Rating: Summary: These Books Are Totally Awesome! Review: Oh man, these books are so cool! I just read them again and again. Can't get enough of 'em. Believe me you will not be able to stop reading them. This book was truly the best that I ever read ( and I have read tons of books ). You have really missed out if you have not read this. May the Force be with you as it is with me.
Rating: Summary: All Will Enjoy This Captive Temple Review: Shopping for a really great book? This is it. Jude Watson's writing is clever and thought-provoking. She captures all the characters we know, and the ones we don't, and skillfully meshes them together in a fast and entertaining adventure. When an evil saboteur is in the honorable Jedi Temple, what will happen? I'll tell you what will happen! Danger rides high and action proves breath-taking. Jedi Knights are called upon to use their powers and resources to the best of their abilites. (And let it be known that Jude managed to throw in some very well-placed emotional scenes.) I encourage all to enjoy this book; not just kids, but teenagers and adults alike.
Rating: Summary: Laughing at myself Review: I just have to laugh at myself over this series. I bought them for my ten-year-old and thought I'd read the first one, just to see what she would be reading and I got HOOKED. I had to go out and buy the rest just to see what happened and read all seven within three days. I can hardly wait for the next one (and have pre-ordered them so I can get them as soon as possible). Of course, I've always been a Star Wars fan--why shouldn't it extend to the 'younger' generation of books coming out now?
Rating: Summary: They keep getting better and better! Review: This book was great! This series is definitly the best that I have read. There is only one problem. It is WAY too short. Why can't they just make a very long one? Then we wouldn't have to wait so long for the next one. I think ( and you will probably agree ) these books are totally fantastic! Give 'em a try. May the Force be with you as it is with me.
Rating: Summary: An awesome Star Wars series - NOT just for kids! Review: I'm 15, and the Jedi Apprentice series are some of the best Star Wars books I've come across. They have great plots, characterizations, and action. Jude Watson has remained faithful to the movie characters, like Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon, and created some great new ones, like Xanatos. I highly reccomend this series to ALL Star Wars fans, young and old.
