Summary: A spell-bounder!!
Review: If you are looking for a book to get totally lost in, to be immersed while the world's troubles are put on hold, then this is the book for you! You are pulled in by the very first chapter and as the adventures of the red deer Rannoch unfold, you feel as if you are experiencing them as well. From the title and the description you might feel this to be a children's book but this is simply enjoyable fantasy. One of my main thoughts about this book is.."This is why I read!"

Summary: Never even crossed my mind to put this down...
Review: I got an early edition of this book during the summer from my school librarian and I'm thrilled that other people are finally able to read this. The wording is superb of the story, and the plot is amazing. Many people compare thi story to the book Watership Downs, but you really can't compare the two. This is by far the better of the two. It is an amazing story of deer, which I know may be a turn-off to hear, it was for me, but it's put out of your mind as soon as you get into the plot. The story traps you within the first few pages, and you can't put it down. Rannoch's father is killed the day Rannoch was born, and the way of the herd is changed for the worse. Then begins an amazing journey with Rannoch's friends, full of suspense, deciet, excitement, joy, and sorrow. I could tell you so much more, but then I would spoil this AMAZING story for you, and then that woldn't be much fun, now would it?

Summary: Fire Bringer
Review: Well the book is mainly about a group of deer that grow up with adventure and bad times. Its about A special dear with a mark that grows up and romes the land and talks yo other animals to find out what he is. His most feared enemy is sogor he is an evil deer that tryes to kill him when he was a young Fawn.He soon has to do a very life daring thing that saves most of the deer. This book is sorda like watership down But its alot better than the books Richard adams write his doesn't have as mouch adventure in it as this book does. This book will make you keep on reading . Iv never read a book as great as The "Fire Bringer"

Summary: A Can't Miss Fantasy For Everyone
Review: Fire Bringer is a rousing anthropomorphic fantasy that is sure to appeal to readers of all ages. It has all of the elements of a standard fantasy story (a prophesy to be fulfilled, a villain with a secret past, a hero that ignores his destiny and then embraces it). However, instead of being formulaic, Clement-Davies uses these elements to build strong characters, powerful action sequences, and evocative settings that will linger with the reader. The vigorous writing makes it easy for readers to imagine themselves in the world that the author has created.

This book would make a wonderful introduction to the fantasy field for a first-time reader of the genre. However, even long-time fantasy readers will find enjoyment reading this auspicious debut from Clement-Davies.

Summary: CopyCat
Review: Well, this book sounds incredibly similar to an out of print trilogy by Meredith Ann Pierce. In the said trilogy, the main charactors are unicorns, the lead character being a young unicorn named Jan. Jan is born with a strange white mark on his brow, and is the foretold savior to lead his people to freedome. His father has taken over the herd and disolved all old traditions, as well as enstateing a gestapo-like gaurd that helps him to gain control. In fact, what's the name of this trilogy? The Fire Bringer Trilogy. Can we say, "Law suit?"

Summary: Great read
Review: Picked this up in an airport bookshop. Thoroughly enjoy it. (Yup, I'm a Hazel fan.) I particularly like the author's knowledgability about deer which adds depth to the story.

Summary: A bold, moving tale of animal fantasy!
Review: Fire Bringer will surely become a classic, at least, in my eyes! It's a heroic tale about a destined deer called Rannoch, who has to live up to the legend that his birthmark tells. It is well-written and doesn't lag at any part. This book kept me up until the wee hours, enthralled. People of all ages, especially animal lovers will want to get theirhands on a copy of Fire Bringer!

Summary: Fine talking-animal book
Review: Excellent! No, it's not as good as Watership Down, but a very moving and powerful novel about deer. Although it's about deer, I probably wouldn't even try to compare it to Bambi, which is too different, but I may have enjoyed it more. The characters are well drawn, and there's some great suspense and beautiful descriptions. The story is archetypal. And it's nice and long! Definitely worth reading, though I felt the latter chapters didn't quite live up to the earlier parts of the book.

Summary: Thumbs up!
Review: ... If you've read "Watership Down", this is like a 'deer' version of it. You'll find yourself crying with either tears of joy or sadness. Simply great!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Fire Bringer
Review: This book, even though it is many ways reminiscent of Watership Down, is still an enchanting and beautifully written book. It is modern-day mythology, being riddled with prophecy, danger, great journeys and brave heroes. This book entrances you and holds your attention till the very last page. It pulls you into the world of the deer, places you in the midst of a desperate herd under the opressive rule of a crazed tyrant. When the charactors love, you love. When the charactors hate, you hate. When the charactors rejoice, you rejoice with them! A definate must-read, especially if you are a fan of Redwall or Watership Down!
