Rating: Summary: A pleasin' way to start off the new Star League! Review: All right, still a little bored from Exodus Road? Well, Mike Stackpole has done it again and made a fantastic book about the rebirth of the Star League and their campaign against the Smoke Jaguars. Stackpole ties up a lot of loose ends with Melissa Steiner's death and also sets up a new story line with the Nova Cats! All around a magnificent story!
Rating: Summary: This has to be the Battletech book that everyone must read! Review: Almost all the characters known to the Battletch universe, in one small yet very intense book! 'Mike' Stackploe sure does know what we want to read about. This Book will make you go emotional.
Rating: Summary: Not a bad book... Review: Amen! My friend from Chicago. Stackpole defines how a war almost always begins, with politics and passion, and Stackpole puts them into his characters and places them in the situations aswell. But this book doesn't just have intrigue and emotion, it puts in fast and furious battling. And takes in well thought planning and strategic thinking into this book. When I purchased this book I read it from morning till late afternoon, stoping only for food and the ocasional call of the wild. Books that do that are the most spectacular novels in the world.
Rating: Summary: Wonderfull! Best blend of intrigue with just enough action. Review: Amen! My friend from Chicago. Rating: Summary: Another outstanding book for BattleTech. Review: Both of the books I've read in the Twilight of the Clans "trilogy?" where outstanding. This wasen't exactly how I thought the clans wold end or accomplish thier mission.
Rating: Summary: Stackpole does it again! Review: From start to finish Michael Stackpole keeps you riveted to every page wondering what is going to happen next. The way he is able to protray every little tick in the political scene and make you really feel apart of the what you are reading makes want to never put the book down. His ability to pick-up seamlessly the endless threads of intrique and the fighting on the frontlines as Victor takes the fight back to his sister as well as the clans reflects credit upon himself and the ever lasting draw of the BattleTech Universe. 5 Stars for Grave Covenant and the whole Twilight series.
Rating: Summary: Stirring hooking and just good reading thanks stackpole Review: Great writing ive read almost every book in this series and I must admit you top it off in this arena stackpole. If you read this great job
Rating: Summary: Not a bad book... Review: I found the beginning of the book very exciting, with all the politics, twists and turns. The mech battles are also not bad but can get cliche at times. Also, I felt that the Inner Sphere had it a bit too easy over the Clans... but I suppose that is the way it should be...
Rating: Summary: Excellent plot and very well written Review: I have read some writers but stackpole tops them all,When it comes to science fiction I will always think Stackpole.Welll written and Well datailed I have found Grave Covanent to be my favorite of thiis series so far.
Rating: Summary: A good book, but not as good as other battletech books. Review: I liked this book for the way it moved the whole story of the Battletech universe along. That is about the only thing you can say about this book. The plot was much weaker than Stackpole's other battletech books. The story is also becoming a bit too stale (i.e. Victor Davion as the hero who can't fail or do wrong, etc.). Still, from the overall Battletech story, you must read this book.
