Summary: I LOVED AND ABSOLUTELY ADORED half THIS BOOK.
Review: Even though I love Star wars and I did like this book a great deal, I'm still not able to bring myself to give it a higher rating. Don't get me wrong it is a good book but I just enjoyed certain stories more than others. When I first started this book I was just eager to learn more about some of these shadowy characters who in most cases didn't really get any movietime at all, but somehow turn out to be much more interesting than Boba Fett.Who really isn't much more than your average henchman for hire. Anyway, the best stories in this book in my opinion are probably the Bossk story, the Zuckuss/4LOM story, and the Dengar story. The IG-88 story which starts the book off is definitely interesting but by the time it's over, even though we're talking about Star Wars, still seems a bit far-fetched and maybe even a bit stupid(maybe). The Boba Fett story on the other hand I thought was just a big letdown. By now this is started to look like Boba Fett bashing but hey maybe for me he just doesn't live up to the hype , that's my opinion. Just get the book.END

Summary: 3 good stories,2 bad ones
Review: I can't understand why people liked the Boba Fett story. It totaly sucked! It made him out to be a goody two shoe wimp.I don't care what anyone thinks, but it was not the way the character should have been written. It was a pointless story and totally without a Star wars atmosphere. The reason I bought the book was to read that pathetic story. The IG-88 story was very good and interesting. He plans to dominate the universe and you watch the movies and you can look at him and say to yourself,"I know why he's after Solo".The story of Denger was just as good also. You now find out his motivation for hunting solo is personal. The action in this syory never lets op.Great! The Boskk story I found to be totally boring and pointless.Pass it by.The story of 4-LOM and Zuckuss was the one I thought would be the least interesting but I was wrong. It was probably the best tale in the book.It also fit into the films the best.It maybe worth the three good stories so buy at own risk

Summary: ig88, dengar, & fett great stories but bossk was BORING!
Review: a good book! ig88 gave us a look into what a robot thinks and does. (the coolest parts in this one is when fett kills him THREE TIMES! after i read the dengar story i ranked this guy as my second favorite bounty hunter (after fett of course!). bossk was so boring that dozed off many times while reading. i didnt rread the zuckuss/4-lom story. the boba fett story gave a lot of info in few pages! you gotta read this one!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: really good for a weekend read
Review: The reader should first view the star wars film The Empire Strikes Back first to be familiar with the settings of this book. But, this is a really great read . It has the viewpoints of the bounty hunters that appear in the above mentioned movie

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good if you like Star Wars
Review: If you are a fan of the books and movies then you should enjoy this one as well. The story expands a simple 10sec scene(from the movies) into five distinct, but interelated stories. A fast read for any true fan, but not the best Star Wars book out there. The shorter story length books have all been very good and this continues the tradition

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: a great book, which is informative to any Star Wars addict
Review: I really enjoyed this book. I have read a few of the other reviews, some say that the writing is flat. I disaggree. For instance the first story, the Story of IG-88 is about an assassin droid, written from his perspective. It, or at least to me, showed a completely alien mind, free of compassion or pity. The Story of Bossk kept me reading page after page. And of course the Story of Boba Fett was truly as great as the great Bounty Hunter himself

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: An OK book.
Review: This book was pretty good. But most of the stories weren't that interesting except the tale of Zuckuss and 4-LOM. The stories in this book were helpful to me because I don't know much about the bounty hunters, but after I read this book, I learned a bunch about them. Also, my favorite character of Star Wars is Boba Fett and I didn't know much about him until I read this book

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Five stories from weak to strong
Review: Here we have 5 potentially interesting bounty hunters (6 really, but 4-Lom and Zuckuss are together). The first story (about IG-88 by Anderson) is terrible. The writing is too flat, too bland considering that the main character is planning something with galactic implications. The only good thing about it is that Boba Fett makes an appearance (he is featured in the last story)which improves our admirition of him. The stories improve as they go, with Zuckuss having a fine tale about alliances and his motivations. Boba Fett's tale is the best of the lot, giving some insight to this fellow, showing that he is a person with feeling and contraditory beliefs (which makes him more believable, more likeable). My advice would be to just skip the first story

Summary: Don't buy this book
Review: Don't buy this book, you should go and buy the other 2. There was only 1 good story!! Listen to my review of the stories: 1 Ig-88 is a blood thirsty monster in the story by Kevin J. Anderson! He totally ripes people from limb to limb, and he does not get paid for it!!!!That is NOT what a bounty hunter does. 2 In Bossk's story he is outsmarted by a couple of no class rebels!! ( I doubt My 2nd fav. bounty hunter is that dumb ) 3 In Dengar story get this, HE'S GETTING MARRIED!!!! How DUMB is THAT. 4 Your thinking that everyone's fav. bounty hunter has to have a good story right? Not!! He's story is waaaayy to 90's! Just read it and find out. 5 The only half decent story is 4lom's and zukuss's. PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS BOOK!!Check it out at the library first then see what you think.BUT I HATED IT

Summary: Bouty Hunters?
Review: I guess the book is ok as a book, but it hasn't got any real Star Wars feel. I didn't feel as if the book was about typical bounty hunters, more like some kind of super heroes. Take IG-88. He is trying to take over the galaxy!! Not exactly a bounty hunters job, is it? As with most Star Wars books I have read, it hasn't got the feeling of the Star Wars movies. But the book is ok if you just read it as a book, not as a Star Wars background story. Still, it is interesting to get to know the characters from the movies better, it gives a certain feeling when you later watch the movies again and think "hah, I know who that guy is and what he is thinking".
