Summary: Would be a 5-star, if Bossk had had a story that made sense
Review: "Tales of the Bounty Hunters" turned out to be a lot better than I expected (I'm not the biggest fan of the bounty hunters). IG-88's story is great, especially when a human prevails over him, after all the talk about a secret droid galaxy-takeover. Dengar was seem as human, not a barely-human assassin. However, Bossk did not do well in this book: his story makes odd twists and turns, and really doesn't make much sense until the end, when you really wish that the author had not wasted their time with him. Boba Fett's story is pretty good, only at times, you might feel that you're reading a story with some pages or even chapters ripped out. (Elaboration is needed!) But definitely read this book, especially if you're wondering who the heck those guys were that Darth Vader tracked down to find Han Solo.

Summary: decent
Review: A lot of these Star Trek/Star Wars books are written by real second class talent. This book was an exception. The author tries to make the bounty hunters more than just nameless evil characters, and does a decent job of creating a past for them that is believable. Ranks up there with the Timothy Zahn books.

Summary: This book is great for anyone who likes bounty hunters!
Review: This book tells the events preceding and following the Hunt for Han Solo. This is a great book, but in order to read it, you have to be familiar with the movies.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Rounds out the Star Wars landscape
Review: Overall a decent compilation that allows the reader to fill in some of the gaps missing about the Bounty Hunters and the life of Han Solo. Tales about Boba Fett, IG-88, Zuckuss and 4-LOM were excellent. Some of the books that were published in the Star Wars universe after this compilation such as the Han Solo trilogy and the beginnings of the Bounty Hunter Wars do not always agree with the facts presented here but I guess that is to be expected to a degree.

Summary: From IG-88 to Bobba Fett, great tales by the masters.
Review: The main reasons that motivated me into getting this book in the first place, was because it's all about those ruthless unknown figures of the "Star Wars" universe that have their own tales to tell and because it answers a lot of questions you may have asked yourself about these scum. Kevin J. Anderson's story about IG-88 is really great and you can tell he put a lot of effort into it. It greatly focuses on IG-88's origin, his reasons for becoming a bounty hunter, and what motivates him to want to become master of the galaxy. Dave Wolverton really did a spectacular job because of the way he portrayed Dengar not as some monster, but as a human being that becuase of the empire has an inability to feel any emotions. This second story was also amazing because it portrays Dengar mostly as a good guy tthat goes around the galaxy helping people out. Kathy Tyers Bossk tale was okay because it introduces two new characters into the "Star Wars" universe and! reveals Bossk's character as a cold evil creature that is willing to do anything to get what he wants, but at the same time has very little action. Shayne Bell's story about Zuckuss and 4-Lom was really good because it reveals Zuckuss as a character with almost force like intuition that hunts down the rebel forces becuase of his health and 4-Lom as an intelligent and loyal partner that wants to acquire Zuckuss' intuition. This fourth story had a lot of action too. Daniel Keys Moran should be greatly complemented on his outstanding Bobba Fett tale. Primarily because he links all the parts of Fett's life perfectly into one ongoing cycle. Also, because he shows that Bobba Fett does the things he does because he sees it as a kind of justice. This is a book that no one should pass up.

Summary: Oh my...
Review: Good job Kevin, now all my role-players want to be bounty hunters' character !!!!

Summary: Two out of five, buy some other SW book
Review: There's five stories in the book, and i've got five stars, so my two stars go to the Fett and 4LOM stories. If you were thinking that bounty hunters are ruthless and savage people, shame on you! This book sends that concept to a galaxy far, far away and presents us a Dengar that is sweeter than my grandma; and the story about not just one, but four IG88's trying to penetrate and control the MAIN computer on the second Death Star is over the top, but the worst tale is that of Bossk, who turns out to be a wimpy lizard with a "superintelligent ship" who is sent to jail by a couple of newcomers..and by the way, Who needs R2 units if you can have a palm-sized robot that speaks Basic and can control a "Superintelligent ship"? (Still, Truce at Bakura is a great book)

Summary: This book was ok
Review: This book was ok, but could have been better. I liked all the stories except the Bossk one. Since I am a Bounty Hunters fan I was dissapointed. A good read for Star Wars fans.

Summary: Buy this book!!

Summary: Lost all my respect for Kathy Tyers in this book.
Review: This book wasn't too bad. I liked all the stories. However, I lost all my respect for Kathy Tyers with that stupid Bossk story. Come on, we have one of the toughest bounty hunters, and coolest, being tooken down by 2 pointless, dumb, zeros. Its kind of like an episode of the Monkees. Where the "heroes" capture all the cool villains in the most kiddie ways. Like using a long rope and just wrapping it around 10 crooks which captures them. That stuff is very similar to Bossks story which is very similar to a Monkees episode. If any Monkees fans stumbled across here, I'm sorry to offend them but is my 2 cents.
