Rating: Summary: It continues the new direction of the Battlestar Galactica. Review: This story continues to pull on the shows unfinished history and weave it nicely into the new direction of these novels. By introducing more friends and foe, the novel adds dimension to the story. Hatch's writing style is also improving, although he needs to work on adding depth to some of the newer characters and give the older ones more to do. I look forward to the next novel.
Rating: Summary: Warhawk Soars Review: Upon closing the book on "BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: WARHAWK", I was left hanging. I wanted more and have searched to no avail of the next(if any) book in the series. I enjoyed the storyline much better than the first. The new enemy of the fleet made the the book refreshing in that it was not the Cylones chasing the humans. It was interesting to see how some of the characters had matured as in Starbuck now living with Athena but having a daughter with Cassie. I sincerely hope that there will be another book to wrap up some unanswered questions that we were left with.
Rating: Summary: loved this one Review: warhawk thrilled me and fed my craving for more battlestar. bringing back the classic characters is the way to go (i love them). thanks richard hatch.
Rating: Summary: Triumphant Return of Commander Cain! Review: When I heard that Richard Hatch was writing books about Battlestar Galactica, I was at once excited and worried. Worried, because often when a story is continued after a long absence, the original dream is often lost. But excitement overwhelmed curiosity and I purchased "Armageddon", the first book, a few years ago. After reading it, I had confidence that Richard could carry on the dream of the Galactica and looked forward to the 2nd Book, "Warhawk". This book blew me out of the water upon first reading it. Not only did it solve a 20 year old question (What happened to Commander Cain and the Pegasus?), it also moved the story forward and injected life into Richard's line of books. The story is full of subplots and new material, while continuing the saga in a rightful way. Anyone who wants to find out what happened to Battlestar Galactica over the past 25 years should read this book. Don't bother listening to the Sci-Fi Channel's propoganda about a new Galactica series-it's a hoax. This is the TRUE Galactica! Happy reading!
