Summary: Not as good, but not that bad.
Review: X-wing, book five. With Mr. Stackpole's grand exit from the X-wing series, Aaron Allston take's over by forming a new, covert-action team of wash-out X-wing pilots, called Wraith Squadron. This book has more on the humor and less on the brilliant space battles of the original X-wings. Somehow, Allston doesn't have the touch of creating a cool-as-ice band of pilots that Mr. Stackpole has. The Wraiths have some stupid moments, i.e., how does a giant pig fit in an X-wing's cockpit. Moments such as these make this book slightly lacking compared to the brilliant Bacta War and it's epic battles. Although decently written, I would highly recommend a lot of thinking before buying this book. It has it's own battles and charm, but die-hard fans of the original Rogue Squadron (such as myself) will not enjoy it half as much as we enjoyed The Bacta War.

Summary: Great book, good for you Allston
Review: At first I was skeptical of someone other than Stackpole countinuing this series, but Allston has proven himself to me. The excitement is as riveting as before. A great book

Summary: Wraith Squadron is star wars with a great twist
Review: Wraith squadron continues the X-wing novels with new charecters and a great story. If you have read the other X-wing novels, and your thinking "new charecters, thats going to be stupid" take that thought right out of your head. The charecters may be new but your going to like the funny situations they enter in and your going to consider the wraith books as equals to the rogue books.

Summary: Very Commical
Review: This book tells the story of wrath squadron, and the best thing is you don't have to have read the previous books. Not only dose this book set the stage for the remaider books, it nicely mixes comedy, and adventure.

Summary: Best book in the X- WIng series.
Review: Wedge Antilles, destroyer of the second imperial death star, wished to create a new x-wing/cammando squadron. This new squadron was formed, not from the best of the academy or bravest, but dregs of the other squadrons. They were to be given one last chance. Ten out of one hundred and forty three piolets make his squad. Their names were: Kell, Tyria, Face, Piggy, Faylen, Jasmin, Grinder, Runt, Phanon, and Myn Donos. In the book, they must work together to try and stop a powerful warlord. Can they suceed or will they be destroyed by the warlord? This book is part of the Star wars series. It picks up after the movie Return of the Jedi.

I liked this book Because I would like to fly in space wars and fight for what is right. Also I wondered what happened to the minor chacters, Wedge, Janson, and admiral Akbar after Return of the Jedi. I was glad to hear about them again. I also wanted to know what had happened to the Empire: were they totally destroyed, or barely beaten like in a New Hope? A weakness of the book is that it could have explained more about the space craft and gone into more detail about some people. An example of this lack of detail is Lara Petothel. The author doesn't tell much about her background, or were she came to join the warlord. I recomend this book for young adults.

Summary: An exciting story full of action!

Summary: "YUB YUB" THIS BOOK WAS HILARIOUS!!
Review: This book was the funniest book that I've ever read. Ton and Face are a great comedy duo. This book has a lot of action, and unlike Rogue Squadron, the pilots aren't serious all the time. There are so many pranks in this book. The little undercover operation they are doing is also really good, especially when they face off against the Implacable.

Summary: Awesome book!!!
Review: I thought this book was great! Wedge Antilles does a great job teaching the kids how to fight. I am also glad they brung back Wes Janson! Overall I think this book was the best in the X-Wing series.

Summary: Amazing...
Review: I'm looking over some of the other reviews, and I'm amazed at how some people don't understand this book. Some people think the Kell-Tyria love story is too shallow. WELL... Allston had originally put more in there, but it had been edited out (or so I was told). People thought the plot was too predictable. WELL... it was predictable to the point that the good guys were going to win. We all knew that anyway, it's the getting there that's fun! And some people think that Allston just can't fill Stackpole's shoes. Well, to those people, wait until Isard's Revenge and don't bother to read another X-Wing book until then. You're just too much hooked on Stackpole, so give it up.

This book was simply incredible, and one of the best written books I've ever read. Enjoy it!

Summary: It combines a love story with action and some drama!!
Review: It's an excellent book for young readers that like adventuresome books. Or even a person who enjoys a good story line. I would recomend this book for any star wars fans. Even if your not a star wars fan now you will be after reading this book!!
