Summary: THIS ONE LEFT ME OUT!
Review: Ya know, I heard some hype about this series, and of all places - my own sister whom I really never get to talk to, but this book series sounded intriguing. I read over half the novel and just got plum bored to tears and getting sick and tired of the mahem going all around these characters, but nothing really happening to them directly. Chaos abounds but these characters yet have little problems with getting around and noone bothered them much. I really was looking for a fast-paced adventure-like story with - O.K. some preaching and mind provoking lessons perhaps, but the only thing I got was - left behind!

Summary: Left Behind
Review: The Left Behind series is a must read for everyone. I have read all of the seies and I can't wait for the new one to come out. This is the first of the series and it is captivating. You learn about the characters and see the ones that are left behind come to terms with what has happened. They struggle with their beliefs and finally come to see the truth about what has happenned. Now they must try to survive what is left of the world. This is a real eye-opener that you can take to heart. It really makes you stop and question how strong your belifs are and if you will be Left Behind.

Summary: A necessary book before moving into the series.
Review: Left Behind, as books go, is an interesting story. Written of course from the Born Again Christian perspective, and based on the prophesy from the New Testament book Revelations, it follows a small group of characters as they discover that they were "left behind" from Christ's great rapture of His Church. Although the characters are interesting, and the subject and situations thought-provoking, this is probably the slowest plot building book of the series to date. The authors most-likely decided to set a strong foundation to set up the follow up stories, and have done a great job of doing so. The soul searching that takes place by the main characters, Rayford Steele, his daughter Chloe, and their new friend Buck Williams sets the stage for their acceptance of Christ, and for all that happens through the next 6 (to date) books. Although, again, the story starts somewhat slowly, and builds even slower, this book is VERY necessary to understand and enjoy the rest. Please do not hesitate to pick this up if you haven't already. It starts a wonderful adventure!

Summary: A great series beginning!
Review: Once beginning the book, I just couldn't put it down. The book has you sitting on the edge of your seat, just waiting for what's going to happen next. The characters are developed in such a way, that you just want to know more, and more about them. My church school adult class decided to make this book a project for our first book reading group. I hadn't read fiction in quite a while, and found this book so enjoyable, yet made me do a lot of thinking! It also made me thirst for a deeper understanding of the Book of Revelations. Couldn't wait to start the next book of the series. If they're all like this, I guess I'll be reading the entire series!

Summary: I Like The Left Behind Series!
Review: My son, who is a pastor, told me about this series of books and I have really enjoyed them! I have just ordered "Assassins" tonight. This is fiction, but the Biblical references are very good. I have read this entire series thus far in a few weeks. It is interesting, can't put the book down reading! I am sending the books that I have read so far to my sister! I think that these books are great for those of us that have stayed away from the Book of Revelations of the Bible because we were afraid or we just couldn't understand the symbolism. Reading about it as it happens from the perspective of the fictional characters is a great way to learn more about the Rapture and what will follow. These books have really made me decide that it is best to be ready and go in the Rapture! I also think that this series of books is appropriate for summer reading for teens and teachers. Young and old will enjoy these books!

Summary: the worst of the series
Review: I know it's kind of ironic, but this was the worst of the first 6, but you still need to read it to understand them. You have to give it some credit, because this is where we meet everybody, and learn of what's ahead. So, I would read it, it just might take you a while to get through it.

Summary: Even more wonderfully bad than I expected!
Review: Unbearably stupid and worthless as fiction. There is no description of anything, and this Antichrist person is constantly described as 'eloquent' instead of shown to be eloquent through his dialogue. The worldview of the authors and their fans is morally repulsive, shockingly ignorant and lacking in any kind of humanity or humility. If you have half a brain and enjoy being made sick by the stupidity of people who are little more than apes, read this book immediately. You will be squirming on your couch in teary-eyed hysterics.

Summary: A good read but not great literature
Review: I picked up this book after it had been recommended to me by a friend. While I enjoyed it and it made for a very fast read I have to admit the writing could be a little corny at times. And although it had the tendancy to get preachy, it's easy to see why when you consider the subject matter and the author. It also seemed a bit shortsighted at times. With all the volumes of books that are being written in the series... I would have liked to hear a bit more about what happens to all the other people in the world... not just the 4 main characters (who all happen to be christian). I would have liked for the authors to cover more perspectives and points of view. I have to say, however, that there were moments in the book that moved me very much and it did bring perspective to my faith. Overall I liked the book... but it's not exactly stellar literature. A much more well-written book about this subject is the Stand by Stephen King....

Summary: LEFT BEHIND A++
Review: My boss told me to pick up this book, read it and watch it change my life. Quite the doubter, I didn't think about his recommendation again until I was stuck in the MLPS airport for 3+ hours. Started reading the book on the plane and I was unable to put the book down. I was especially surprised at the impact this had on my life. Great writing, great concept, great book. I am hooked and can't wait to start reading book #2.

Summary: Amazing
Review: the book challenged my own beliefs in the Lord. it was a book unlike any other book i have read. it involved drama, mixed with a little bit of adventure. i personally thought it was excellent. it was sort of mysterious in the beginning, finding out who were the good characters and who werent. but all in all it was good, with some bad parts, but still good. im not a very religious person, but im sure hooked on this series
