Rating: Summary: Believable Review: I am sure glad I live in Texas and have not had my brain cells frozen. This book and series has changed my life. Once saved always saved is a myth in my estimation. One may fall from grace. If you do not follow Jesus, you are taking a great chance of being left behind. If you are contemplating buying this book do not hesitate. It will be the best investment you can make at this time.
Rating: Summary: READ THIS! Review: Everone please read this book. No matter what anyone else says it is about the Rapture and If you dont believe that Jesus died fo our sins then you will be left when Jesus comes back. If you want more info. contact me at Gapgirl1@teen.com.
Rating: Summary: This series is just amazing..A must read for all! Review: I have read Left Behind all the way to where I am now reading Apollyon.Let me tell you everyone must read this series.I am so excited to hear that Indwelling is on the market so that when I am done reading Assasins I will have yet another Left behind book to read. Thanks to Jerry Jenkins and Tim LeHaye for such focus on what we all need to know about the end times. You two are Tsion & Buck in the flesh. God Bless you both.
Rating: Summary: Untrue, Unfactual, Unbelievable Review: I am dismayed that this book and the series in general has become so popular. This is a clear misrepresentation of the book of Revelation. There is no truth to what is being said here. If the intent of this book had been to entertain only, I could understand; however, this book and the other books in this series purport to be a scholarly effort presented for popular understanding. This is not the case. The eschatology of Revelation is not represented here and the "timeless truths" the authors claim are neither true nor timeless. This a modernization of a 19th century theology know as Darbyism. Before the time of Darby and his American protege Miller, the rapture theology portrayed in this book was not accepted. In fact it had not even been conceived. Revelation is not, I repeat NOT, about the end of the world, and if one reads Revelation closely one finds that much of it is in the past tense. This book, Left Behind, is perpetuating a lie that is used to keep people both afraid and ignorant. It panders to the need people have for all or none theology and gives them what they want to the detriment of what they really need, which is to know God as a pardoning and liberating God whose gift of grace is freely given to the entire world. The fact that LaHaye and Jenkins are profitting from this lie saddens me and I, for one, will not allow this lie to go unchallenged.
Rating: Summary: A very good story Review: I thought this book was quite interesting. The rapture idea has never really been written about this way before, as far as I know, and the authors did a great job projecting what the world will be like. The characters are very well fleshed out and fun to see interact, a notable example is Nicolae with his beguiling charm. The only realy knock I found was the ad at the back asking if I had been left behind and needed more info about Jesus. I think the story is great and the whole religiousness of it, though quite apparent, didn't bother me until that ad telling me that I needed to be saved and it left a sour taste in my mouth.
Rating: Summary: The book of Revelation for real life Review: I, as many other Christians, found Revelation daunting. I have read it, put it down confused and hoped in my heart it wasn't literal. Upon stumbling upon Tim LaHaye & Jerry Jenkins' novel, Left Behind, I could finally get a grasp of Revelation through the glimpse of modern-day and real people I could relate to. I recommend it to Christians who are firm in their faith, as well as those who are not sure about Christianity - it is an enjoyable and thought-provoking read either way.
Rating: Summary: Left Behind Review: This book is a marvel and is the kind of reading which is way over do in book stores. I couldn't put it down. The author's truly bring human qualities out in their characters. Don't be left behind. It is a must read!
Rating: Summary: To Good To Be True! Review: This book was so amazing and excellent that I read the whole thing in two days! Unable to put it down I could not have been more impressed with any other book like it. It was very detailed yet was touching enough to turn my life around. It gave me a picture of what was happening so clear I had to purge myself from the book just to remind me of true reality, not only that but gave me a new perspectuve on life. I can't wait till' I read all of em'!
Rating: Summary: GREAT: TWO THUMBS UP! Review: I loved this book, it was great. I couldn't believe how well it was written for being the first book in a series. I'm now in book four "Soul Harvest." I have loved all of the books thus far, and I am looking foward to future reading within the series! ++
Rating: Summary: All should read and heed Review: I have read each book in the "Left Behind" series. I am an avid believer in the Bible and that it is the inspired word of God. I have come to believe that the "Left Behind" series, (though it's characters are fictional, it's foundation is Biblical,) is an "INSPIRED" writting. I would highly recommend this series to anyone, believer or not, who is in search of the truth about how things are to be in the end times. If, like myself you have ever read the book of Revelations but did not understand it, this series will bring what you have read to light. If you read this series with an open mind and a searching heart, it will inspire you too...
