Summary: A disappointing series
Review: I read the first two books in the "Left Behind" series. I found the plot completely impractical and unbelievable for numerous reasons, but I feel a little bad saying that since I know that it was a fictional rendering of evangelical Christian eschatology. The characters in the "Left Behind" series are stiff and seemed liked the felt-back cardboard figures Sunday school teachers use on the scene boards. The Christians in this book are infallibly perfect in their thoughts and actions, while all the non-Christians are deceived, hypnotized, conspiratorial or close to becoming Christian. The authors passed no opportunity to demonize everything modern evangelical Christians despise, such as the press, the United Nations, abortion and any religion other than theirs. If these books are suppose to dramatically and effectively portray what evangelical Christians believe will soon happen on the world scene, I think the authors have let down that constituency by offering a poorly written story. I couldn't get past the second book, and I don't know if the stories got better after that.

Summary: Pay Attention To This!!
Review: Some may find this book to be absurd fiction, but I don't. Some of the events may seem far-fetched, but closer examination reveals that there is a purpose. For example, during the Rapture the clothing of those saved has been left behind, all rumpled. Why is this significant? I'm told by a religious scholar that in Biblical times if a person went on a journey and was not coming back, they left their unneeded clothes that way. If they WERE coming back, they left them neatly folded. Yet there are some reviewers that claim the authors didn't do enough research? Really? The critics sound to me like those who would say it's raining on a bright, sunny day. After reading the 1st book, I continued with the series and am now halfway through book 4. They're all excellent, but only to Believers and Believer-wannabe's!!

Summary: I would recommend this book and the whole series...
Review: I read this book and the other books in the series within about a month. Although I have been involved in church activities since I was a child, I did not realize-until I read this series of books-that I really did not know what it means to be a Christian. For anyone out there struggling to make sense of what the bible means as well as feeling intimidated by its message-these fictionalized accounts, based on scripture, put the bible into a context one can apply to everyday life experiences. I know the traditional stories from the bible that most people learn-reading this book and the others has ignited a thirst, in me, for more knowledge of Christ and his teachings. The characters in the book are easy to relate to and made the message of revelation and the scriptures that I read in relation to the books more real. Whether you believe rapture will happen the way that Tim LaHaye tells the story or not-this book will at least make you think about the path your life is on.

Review: Excellent book, moves fast, keeps you wanting more. I finished the book in 2-3 days. Makes you do some soul searching. This is a book that you'll want to talk about and share.

Summary: And so It Begins...
Review: I should have titled this one "Twilight Zone meets Revelation". Similies between TZ and this work are coincidence. The Hand of God is at work here. The perfect explanation of and about the events occured and occuring leave a believer in the position to see the flimsy web of deciept woven by the spin doctors of the apocolypse. Sadly , most of us will fall for this pablum fed by the spoon full by said decievers. The premise of LEFT BEHIND is told from the point of view of a few who realize what has happened; after a while and after a grouping of those who have a purpose in the will of God in the End-of-Days just happen to meet. Pure Biblical prophesy here. The Authors have managed to weave a tale of the Modern world into this ancient prophesy without flaw. Bravo! I am way ahead in reading but behind in reviewing. Left Behind as it were. (Pun intended) Read this work in the vein I feel it was intended... before it is too late.

Review: I have never been too religious and was at first uncertain about this book but once i started i couldn't stop and highly recommend this to any one who enjoys a good book

Review: It was an interesting story but I found it to be too preachy and anti-everything except born again christians. Some of the writing is disjointed and stiff.

Summary: Love this series!
Review: I really loved this book and couldn't wait to begin the second one in the series. I've read all of the books in the series to date and am still anticipating the next one to be published. These books make the end times come alive and promote thought about the tribulation period. It makes me care more about telling my friends and family about how they can avoid this terrible time through giving their life to Jesus Christ.

Summary: Scared, Cried, Prayed...
Review: If you want to really see what the end times could be like, yes I know this is a work of fiction...but it is based on the Bible, read this series. I picked it up at a store just before heading out on business just after it's orginial release, I read the entire book that day. I have never seen a book/series that has kept my attention and longing like this series has. If your a christian or not this series is for you...
