Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Evangelical Propaganda Review: For several decades now American evangelical 'christians' have been concocting and reconcocting a modern myth loosely based upon their version of scripture, particularly the Book of Revelation. The terms 'rapture' and 'end times' have come to signify a fantastic future where all true 'christians' will be 'taken away' to heaven prior to the end of the world. This ever changing 'end times' nonsense is repackaged and massaged for each new generation, and generally involves current issues and personalities. This accounts for its great popularity in America-- it offers an uncomplicated and easily digested version of history and the future. This book series attempts to get this 'rapture' message out to the general public in the guise of 'science fiction.' Parents and educators should be aware of its blatantly skewed religious-right point of view. This is NOT authentic science fiction or fantasy along the lines of 2001: A Space Odyssey, or the Lord of the Rings... it is insidious propaganda promoting a bizarre belief, which is not supported by the bible or reality. The truth, and I have examined these 'Left Behind' stories, is that they are horribly written and dreadfully conceived. The plots are obvious to the point of laughter and each book at some point neccessarily contains a plea to 'accept Jesus.' But isn't that what the bible is for? Throw in the fact that the gospels are BETTER WRITTEN and MAKE MORE SENSE and one wonders why these books were ever written. The eighth grade reading level vocabulary and style is appropriate to the target audience however (referring to the adult series).

Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Interesting Topic and story that keeps you at the edge!!!!!! Review: Im not a religious person, but throughly enjoyed this book. THe idea of a event like described in this book is just incredible. The book it self is very well written. The characters are described very well and you have a sense as if you know them, but alas thats why i only gave the book 4 stars instead of 5. It just seems the main characters are just too good. Even though they were left behind, they just seem to good for my taste. I mean Rayford Steele just reminds me of Andy Griffith. But over all the book is very well written, keeps your attention and makes you want to read more..........see my review of Tribulation Force

Im addicted now. 2 years ago my neighbor tried to get me to read this book, but i refused to make the time. Now, I have read it costantly, unable to put it down. It has ben a real 'eye-opener' for me. Ive always claimed to be cristian, but after reading this book, I'm starting to re-think that! I have been so far away from God. Thank you Mr. Lahaye and Mr. Jenkins for setting me right! I fully intend to make this book available to whom ever wants to read it. And to do my part as a christian, on spreading His word

It sat on my table for a couple weeks before I began to read it. After reading the first few chapters, I had nightmares, but was hopelessly enthrawed. I read all 8 books inside of 2 weeks. I look very forward to the 9th. I HIGHLY recommend this series to anyone.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I love this book! It's better the 2nd time though(Jenny P,3) Review: I loved this book. A lot of people that are teenagers don't like it because it's boring, but most just don't understand it. The first time I read this book I felt the same way, but now that I have read the whole series and understand it, I love it! My favorite character is probably Buck Williams. There are many reasons why I like him, well the main reason now is because I have seen the movie and the actor Kirk Cameron is in my head now when I read about Buck. Actually, my favorite character used to be Chloe Steele, because she is a woman- a strong-willed, never giving up kind-of woman. If I could pick any character that was most like me, it would be Chloe. This book is one of my favorite books that I have ever read. In my opinion, at one point everyone should read this book, or the 1st kids book, because this book has changed my perspective on everything. It has changed the way I treat people, look at people that I don't know, and my total outlook on life. I've realized that life is precious, no one ever knows when something could happen to them or someone they love.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Integrity taken, Decieving and wicked left behind Review: Left Behind absolutely made me breathless. I compare the book to the Bible or atleast based on the Bible. Most of the happenings in the story was taken from the Bible book Revelations. Eveything the Bible said was going to happen during the rapture of the church happened in the story. Left Behind is a eye-awakening witness to what is going to happen when God comes back to the world for His believers. It was as simple as this, the believers were taken, the non- believers were left behind. It was kind of long, but still worth it and for a meaning. The book brought out a lot of points in my life. It made me realize how no one should take life for granted. That everyone was put on this Earth for a reason. Also, I learned that I will never know when God is coming back, so I should always be prepared. The values and morals in this book really made me wake up. To conclude, Left Behind is a eye-awakening to the world about the coming back of Christ. I urge any teens or above to take part in this privalege to read this book. A.B.- 1
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: a great impact Review: Although i had high expectations when i started reading the novel "left behind" by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins because of the great things i had heard about the book,it didnt meet up to all of them. This novel was an eye-opener for me as i am sure it was for many of those who have read it.It was based on factual scriptures and verses from the Bible itself, which made me even more wonderous about the contents truth, even though it was a non-fiction novel.I was very intrested when it came to the phenominal tragities and disippearences that took place without any know explanations exept what was written in the Bible.Reading this made me thirsty for knowledge and left me serching for information outside of my english classroom for my personal needs. This novel has had a great impact on my life and i hope it will on yours also. ~*Zoe Miller*~
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Praises for Left Behind Review: I, personally enjoyed the book. I am now reading book 4 and look forward to reading the rest of the series. It may be fiction, but it IS based on Scripture. Read Revelations. The characters aren't really deep and they do have many "convenient" things happen...or is it God? These books have really made me start doing some serious thinking. ....
