Rating: Summary: LEFT BEHIND CAN'T BE MISSED! Review: There aren't enough adjectives to describe this outstanding book, and the beginning of the "Left Behind" series. The smooth combination of fiction and solid Biblical truths made a dynamic combination. Even if the reader isn't knowledgeable regarding the End Time theology of the Scripture, this book will make it understandable and a marvelous read.I recommend this book for everyone. Even the atheist will find it fascinating!
Rating: Summary: Change Review: If I was a person good with words, I could probably write a maximum of 1,000 words for this review. I am not such a person and that is why my title for this review consists of one word. "CHANGE" After reading Left Behind, My thinking has changed, I look at things in a whole new light. It is just so much I can't explain, because there is still so much more that I don't understand. I loved listening to every minute of my audio book.
Rating: Summary: Why this book is totally sweet: by Alex Miller Review: When my friend Kyle gave me this book I was all like, "Dude, this is totally weak!" I started reading it and it was all about good and evil and all. I'm being totally seriously, dude, it was so sweet. This dude is an airline pilot and doesn't believe in God and stuff. I'm a pilot and so is my friend Kyle, too. I'm totally seriously, this guy was a pilot and everyone vanished and I was so freaked. It was totally weak but I kept reading and all these people vanished and then Satan was put in charge of the UN and killed some people. I'm totally seriously!
Rating: Summary: Can this be our future? Review: I've read all this series to date. The new book that is coming out the end of October is on my "must buy" list. This series is not for everyone. Though I wish everyone would read it. It may seem a little "overdone" for those who are not of the Christian faith, but Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins are just trying to make the book of Revalation more understandable. Just look at what's happening in the world today and you can see the parallel with what is written in Revelation. I think it's important that the "message" gets out there. The series can seem like "gloom and doom" but people really do need to heed the warning. My only disparaging remark is that the people in the series seem to have access to almost impossible resources (cars, housing, fake ID's, etc.) which doesn't ring believable. If someone is looking for a series that will clarify the Book of Revelation, this will help.
Rating: Summary: Late Starter, but hooked! Review: I was a late-comer to the Left Behind phenomenom, but I'm here to stay (uh... until Jesus comes, that is). I want to thank the authors for writing such an amazing series for this reason: After Graduate school, I stopped reading for pleasure because I was burned out on reading, period. But, this series has me back on the pleasure reading bandwagon. I am now caught up with reading #1 - #8, and am like the rest of you.... WAITING, WAITING, WAITING for #9!!
Rating: Summary: one of the best books Review: I loved this book and tell all my friends to read it once you have started you will not be able to put it down and you will want to keep reading the series. this is one book you will keep and read over and over
Rating: Summary: not great not bad just interesting Review: end times makes for a good story i think no matter who writes it. these writers seem like they'd be better pre school teachers than true adult themed authors. ive read them all now and each has a cliffhanger and it takes months to get the next book out... i mean they are good stories but too preachy too short and kinda dumb sometimes. most can finish each book in a week or maybe a weekend (they are that short)... if the idea of the story sounds good you'll prob wanna read it. however enjoying it is 50/50...i see the other reviews for this christ clone trilogy so maybe ill go that route...ive been waiting for the next book in this series so long i think ive just lost all interest
Rating: Summary: Romanian Anti-christ? Review: i haven't read the series yet and probably won't given that i now know that the anti-christ happens to be romanian. i too am romanian, born in the carpathian mountains and my middle name is nicolae. i'm sure the authors didn't mean that the actual anti-christ, when he does make himself known will be from romania, but just want all the readers out there to know that there are some good nicolaes born in the carpathian mountains in romania. that's all i have to say about that. enjoy reading the books though.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Series Review: With the exception of the second book, "Tribulation Force", these have been non-stop reading for me. I have enjoyed them tremendously. First of all, let me say, that I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ. So, you know where I stand as far as my faith in Jesus Christ. I enjoy the way the authors placed fictional characters with End Times Prophecy. Whether you want to believe these events will take place, or the authors took artistic liberties with the bible, these books are well written and page-turners.
Rating: Summary: Wow - this book really gives you food for thought! Review: Everyone I know is talking about this book and the rest of the books in this series. I can see why - this is definitely the most thought-provoking book I've ever read. I can't wait to read the second book in this series: Tribution Force. Don't be Left Behind!
