Summary: Good starting material
Review: If you're looking for something about religion and you're too lazy for or anti Bible, this may be a good place to start. It'll make you think about how you live your life. If God does exist, which He does, am I living my life in a way that will be pleasing to Him or to society. Who are you living for?
The story isn't Biblically based, but it can be used for great spiritual conversation starters and to evalutate your life. (...)

Summary: Amazing!
Review: First let me say that I was raised Catholic, and although I still maintain my faith I have not attended church in years. Fact of the matter is, I'm turned off by organized religion.

OK, that said, I picked up this book at the urging of a friend. The best word for me to use was entranced. I was entranced. I read this book in 2 days (and that's WITH chasing a 2-year-old!) and am new reading #2 in the series.

Above all, the book got me thinking, and that's a start.

Summary: Left Behind
Review: Tim F. LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins's Left Behind is a dramatic, fiction recollection about the Rapture of Jesus' people. The plot of the story is a double plot that follows the events of a commercial airline pilot and a world-renown reporter. At one moment in the story, billions of people disappear from the face of the earth, and they leave all their material possessions behind. All that have disappeared are either miraculous people are children. Chaos and riot fill the world. Many people begin forming theories to justify the event. Some blame the phenomenon of aliens, while others say that Jesus has come back for his people. As these events are taking place, a European politician experiences a drastic popularity campaign. This campaign was prophesized on videotape before the disappearances took place. This priest was one of the missing. He prophesized the disappearances and the reign of the "antichrist". The antichrist is the politician. The overall theme of the story is one of Catholic faith. It is that we should repent our sins and let God into our lives soon, for we have no idea when we will pass away or when God will return. This novel is interesting and instructive. It raises issues based on faith and salvation. I have been affected been affected by Left Behind's reality. I fear what would become of me if Jesus did return for his people.
This book deemed interesting to me, because of the dramatic events it contained. Over one billion people disappeared from the earth in the blink of an eye. And not one person had an answer. However, those Christians left behind knew what had taken place. The rapture of the church had been prophesized throughout the Bible. The entire plot catches the reader's attention. Left Behind is also instructive. It lets the reader know that the price of salvation and heaven are great, and we, as Christians, must do everything within our will to become more like Jesus.
The main issues that this novel raises are faith and salvation. Tim F. LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins inform that reader that salvation is impossible to obtain without faith in God. They enlighten the reader to the fact that faith involves not only belief but also action. In order to be true Christians, we must act on our beliefs in God. The reader is also informed about salvation and what it takes for one to receive this priceless gift. We must have true faith in order to receive the gift. These issues affect me as a Christian in many ways.
This novel hit home for me in variety of manners. All the issues that were touched on relate to my spiritual life, because I am a Christian. I have always been brought up believing that God forgives us all, and that if we are "good people" we will receive salvation. Left Behind was a rude awakening, and it opened my eyes. It showed me that I am expected to be a "true" Christian, one who follows Jesus' s life as closely as possible. I am expected to do as Christ preaches, and if I do, my reward will be great.
Tim F. LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins did an excellent job with Left Behind. The plot was action packed and thrilling. The novel discussed the issues of faith and salvation, which affect me personally. I believe that this book was well written, and is a book that everyone should experience.

Summary: A great end days novel!
Review: I enjoyed Left Behind. This work of fiction explains some of what is in the Bible concerning end times.
The characters came alive throughout the pages.
I was drawn into the pages by the creative skills of the
author(s).
The thought of everyone vanishing in the Rapture and being left behind is a nightmare. I think the writer(s) did a great job of painting a picture of what it would be like if that were to happen.

Summary: Addictive and informative
Review: I thought the book was incredible! Having read Revelations, I felt sufficiently prepared to read this Religious Fiction (my first). I read quite often, and am in a book club, so I was puzzled when I saw the poor ratings. What an inspiring, frightening, incredible book!

I couldn't put it down and I raced to the store to get the next one the same day I finished the first! I am just starting the third book and I am completely enthralled.

Summary: great book
Review: This is a great book. I must admit that I was a little saddened by the poor ratings of others. Alot of people's ratings are based on how they feel about the writing, the characters, or whether they feel that the end of times is realistic or not. I say, look deeper than that. This book has a message and a purpose. This book moved me. This book made me start reading my bible again. this book made me think about what type of christian I am. The only reason that I can see someone not liking this book is because it either scared them or it made them feel a little something called conviction.

Summary: Don't leave this book behind
Review: This is a exceptional book. I picked it up because of family inspiration. The book is about the end of the world as depicted in the book of revelation in the Bible. The main character of the book is Rayford Steele. He is the captain of a jet airliner. The rapture occured as Ray was in the air. As mass panic infests the airplane, he does not know what is happening. Nearly half of the passengers on board have left the airplane or disapeared. This is a very inspiring book and it is great for people who enjoy apocaliptic event. This is only one book in a series if you have not guessed. The authors of the book are Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins. This book has about everything your looking for; horror, romance, and mystery. I don't recomend this for young people due to some of the graphic events that take place in the book. It's almost like a science fiction to some people but to other people it is all fact. If you like science fiction you should pick this book up. The only flaw that I saw in this book was the the writing. I enjoy really technical writing like Tom Clancy and Michael Crichton. Even with that flaw I give this book 4 out of 5 stars. My personal response to this book is that is a good book for about everyone. It really helped me with everyday life by having a lot of inspirational writing in it. This is also the only book that I have read for a really long time that didn't have a word of profanity and I know that is really hard to find these days. Don't get left behind by not reading this great thriller.

Summary: Wow what an amazing book.
Review: As someone who is to a point not religious in anyway. I found this book to be very good. I normally tend to keep away from book that will try to preach religion at me.

This book captured my intrest two night ago and I spent the whole time reading this book. This book has it all.

The story is one that would only seem to be something you would see in the movies.

I don't want to give to much away in spoiler, but all I have to say is to read this book and give it some thought. I had kept away from these books due to the fact that they were in the religion section of my bookstore, but having borrowed this from a friend all I have to say is I can't wait to read the rest in the series. I only hope that this was a start to a wonderful set of book that I will enjoy and recommend to others.

Summary: Left Behind
Review: Left Behind is a great Christian fiction book. This book isn't too Christian but uses Christian themes. It puts it own twists on what is said in the Bible. Left Behind uses fictional characters and real places to express the story in the book of Revelations. It has many plot twists and turns. Left Behind is written so it sounds like it could really happen. This book is 468 pages long and ends in a great cliffhanger. Christians and Non-Christians alike will like this book.

Summary: INSPIRATIONAL
Review: This book is truly uplifting...I found that it revived my faith as I walked through the acceptance of what each of the characters already to be knew truths...each of the characters are believable and well-developed. It's an easy novel to read, and it's addictive... I would recommend it to anyone--even those who are not believers...it has a wonderfully gripping plot and the Bible references are incredible...
