Rating: Summary: Long on preaching, short on action and plot Review: This book appears to be greatly overrated by most readers. I can understand the necessity of a gospel message included in the story, but the authors seem to be so caught up in evangelism that they forget to develop the characters. I never really cared about them. If the preaching were removed from this book, it would probably be only half as long. The last days are a fantastic opportunity for exciting action stories, but there is little action here.
Rating: Summary: What a great read and eye opener Review: If you have ever wondered whether or not biblical predictions could possibly be valid in this day and age, you must read this book! It makes it clear how easily the prophesies could be fulfilled. This subject has always raised great speculation and fear among Christian and non-Christian alike. In this book the Last Day is brought right into your life - maybe tomorrow!! Read this and the sequels and I guarantee it will change your perspective on the world and your life.
Rating: Summary: Wow! Review: ... Thought it looked interesting... as a non-baptized agnostic who is "searching" I found it very believable, scary in that it made me think about my faith, what do I believe in? I think it was extremely well written, though I had to come here to the 'net to find the sequels... wish something had been in the book, like "If you liked Left Behind just wait 'til Tribulation Force is here!". Just my ramblins'.
Rating: Summary: It will make you wonder, hope you are a Christian in the end! Review: If you have not read this book it is the book to read!!! I'm 16 yrs.old and it made me look back to make sure I was a Christian! This book as absolutly the best. I could not put it down.
Rating: Summary: Where is this world headed? Review: Left Behind deals with the rapture of the church. The chaos that will errupt with many people disappearing at the same time. Truth and Lies will be exposed. This book is well written and will hold the interest of both the young and older generation. So far there are three in the series. Each book is great. I would suggest that you get all three because you will not want to wait to continue and find out what happens next. My 21 year old and I read all three books in less than two weeks. We both enjoyed the book and cannot wait until the next book is written. I am looking into getting this book on tape for the ones in my family that would rathar listen than read. It is really a wonderful book that spans all generations.
Rating: Summary: A remarkable story, that change my view of Christ! Review: The rapture was not a subject widely discussed in my religious background. This story made me hungry for more. It was compelling and thought provoking. Because of the story, I have gone back to the Bible to compare the outline of "Left Behind" with my understanding of the scripture. A must read!
Rating: Summary: Good Introduction for the mainstream audience Review: I picked this book-up..., and had no idea what it was about. Both my husband and I found it fascinating, and have looked for sequels. I'm not a religious person, but I caught some of the messages that were being conveyed. It wasn't until I read the other reviews that I realized how much of a religious message was being transmitted, and to what a limited audience it was marketed. I found this book to be as interesting and enlightening as the Celestine Prophecy, and wonder why it doesn't have the same mainstream acceptance. world religions coming together and being at peace with one another. Precursor to the one-world-religion?! And there is so much devastation and world chaos. One cannot help but know that time is short.
Rating: Summary: Execellent, could not stop reading utill I had read all. Review: I could not stop reading, I read all three books avaiable over the Christmas holidays and can not wait to get the next book. I am telling every one I know to read these books, and giving away copies of the books when I can. It wakes you up to the end time prophecy.
Rating: Summary: A Wake-up Call To Mankind!!! Review: I happened to read this book during the Christmas holidays. I have been fascinated by the book of Revelation ever since my salvation and hence it was treat to read a novel about it. The novel is gripping and a great supplement to the book of Revelation. Ever since I've been warning all fellow-believers I know about the Rapture. In fact I gifted an unbeliever colleague of mine a copy of this novel. Also in the process I'm preparing myself for the rendezvous with the Almighty coz I definitely don't want to be LEFT BEHIND!
Rating: Summary: An eyeopening account of what is to come for us all... Review: I picked up this book with the intention of a good read. Halfway through, I felt that this book had truly touched my soul. I know the Bible and all the facts about the Rapture and Tribulation, but when seen from the perspective of those who did not transcend, well.... What an eye opener. While the book is based on nonfiction accounts from the Bible, the fictionalized portions bring the whole thing down to us. It is easy to read the Bible and let it fly over your head and say oh that is so true. But to hear how it could be lived out if we were to be left behind. All I can say, is it made me want to make sure of my committment so I wouldn't be. Happy Reading!
