Rating: Summary: Eye and Heart opening Review: After reading each of the three books that have come out as they came out, then rereading them together within a few days, I have decided that though these books are fiction, their purpose if not as a "tool" for Bible study, nor should the authors and their writings be critiqued for anything that they are not! These books are exceptional reading based on the personal beliefs of the aurthor and the millions of Born Again Christians who live according the the precepts that have been found for thousands of years in the Bible. That we, as Christians, choose to read literature that does not contain explicit language or situation, and follows the beliefs that there is a "bright and shining" future with our Risen Saviour, should not offend anyone. If anyone is offended by this book because of its subject matter, you have the option to not continue to read. These authors raise no question as to their beliefs in their writings. It is not a sci-fi book, nor is it an authorized account of what will take place in the end-times. It is a series of novels. My heart went out to the characters. They were just like everyday people. They lost loved one and they were searching. I did not find that they needed further character development as they represented the life that we as Christians are encouraged to live, that blueprint found in the Bible. My only desire after reading this series of books is to go out and buy enough of them to give to all my unsaved friends. Some may not see this as "good literature" but in my opinion, it contains excerpts from the bestselling Book of all...that indeed makes it good literature.
Rating: Summary: WOW! A REAL EYE-OPENER. Review: LEFT BEHIND IS A REAL EYE-OPENER. THANK YOU TO THE AUTHORS FOR SHARING THEIR TALE WITH US. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE AFTER YOU READ THIS BOOK, KEEP READING THE OTHER TWO. YOU SOON WILL BELIEVE.
Rating: Summary: TOTALLY AWESOME! :-) Review: Left Behind, Tribulation Force, and Nicholae are all awesome books! I had a hard time putting them down to do school work! Part of why they are such good books is because they use Scripture to back up a lot of what goes on with the characters, but because of the Scripture basis for the events, it was pretty predictable. Those who have studied Revelations and/or the books of prophesy (Daniel and Isaiah), will know a lot of what to expect from the get-go. Overall though, they are totally awesome books and I would recommend them to ANYONE, Christian or not, who is interested in the "End Times" and may find it a little difficult to read the Bible. I would also recommend to the reader, to have a Bible handy in order to chech references given in the text of the book - it makes reading teh book all the more REAL.
Rating: Summary: I enjoy reading this book. Review: This book best describes what is going to happened went the rapport comes. I think every christian and sinner should read this book. I read this book in one night thanks rayshell owens
Rating: Summary: Captivating look into the hereafter. READ IT!!! Review: Mr. LaHaye and Mr. Jenkins have done a wonderful job of presenting a Biblically based story that gives some insight into what will one day come. 1st Corinthians 2:14 says that those who do not know Christ will look upon spiritual things as foolishness because they are spiritually discerned. This book does a lot to help overcome this. Plain and understandable, this is what the Bible says is going to happen. I can't imagine a movie doing justice to these books but I am certainly looking forward to seeing it, as well as reading the next book.
Rating: Summary: Revelation brought to Life! Review: There have been many times when I have sat through the study of Revelations, but I still didn't picture it in present tense. I usually thought about this happening in the future. Yet, there are so many indications that Christ's return may not be as far away as we think. Thank you to the authors who helped bring the urgency of these end times to life. I have been changed.
Rating: Summary: Don't get "left behind" by not reading this book Review: As new Christians, my husband and I read this book as part of a Oprah-type reading group. By page 3, I was hooked. My husband read it with Bible in hand to check referrences. The characters are engaging, the circumstances realistic, and the conclusion left us wanting the next book (which was checked out at the library and had to be ordered from a Christian bookstore some 15 miles away). Both Christian and non-Christian find it intriguing. It's a great read!
Rating: Summary: An Eye Opening Book Review: This is one book that everyone needs to read. I have only read the first book and I am ready to start on the second and third and so on. This book really has made me look at my life and see if it is where it needs to be. It really is a scary book for those who are not christians. It is also a very emotional book and it will touch your heart. I know that my life was changed by the book and I am only 16 years old.
Rating: Summary: A wake-up call for the whole world! Review: For Christians, who have the "blessed hope" of the Rapture, this book is entertaining and thought-provoking reading. It is one of our joys to imagine what our face-to-face meeting with our Lord in the air will be like. However, we mustn't forget the horrors that will be suffered by those 'left behind.' This book is a modern look at how some of the Bible's prophecies MIGHT come to fruition. And it should spur us on to greater evangelism so that no one will be left behind!
Rating: Summary: RIVETING.....SHOULD BE REQUIRED READING!!!!! Review: I could not put the books down, I was so "caught up" with them. Makes you realize you don't want to be "left behind". I have a renewed relationship with God. I can hardly wait for the next one, Soul Harvest. At our library we have waiting lists for the books, the staff can't believe this since the books are not "bestsellers." I have recommended the books to dozens of people.
