Summary: GOOD!!!!! AND THERE'S MORE!
Review: I loved, 'Left Behind'. I thought it was really good for what it is. I can't wait to read the next one.--------- There's another novel called, 'The Fist of God' by A.T. Nicholas out there that 'Left Behind' series readers should get their hands on. It's a great, 'good vs evil' storyline with a pretty cool twist. The plot unfolds through the eyes of a homicide detective, who becomes a reluctant participant in the bloody battle for souls. It's fast pace and written well. Some of the language is strong, but the message is too good not to read because of street talk. Highly recommanded!

Summary: After Left Behind, I had to read the other four books.
Review: The 5-books of the "Left Behind" series are spell- binding. I am looking forward to reading the sixth book, "The Assassins" due by August 99. The messages are riviting and based on the Bible. As I read, I envisioned actors I would like to see portraying the key characters in the forthcoming movie(s). I read all five books within two weeks and I work full-time. I have recommended the series to others and I am grateful to a very good friend who recommended the series to me.

Summary: The Rapture is Real
Review: You cannot read this book and not believe in the Rapture. Each character will remind you of yourself.

Summary: A joke
Review: Simplistic religious propaganda designed to manipulate and frighten. It's funny that folks who espouse the Rapture and attendant details as expressed in these books style themselves as "biblical fundamentalists" who take the Scriptures literally. This Rapture dogma is cobbled together from various vague references which are all taken out of context. All this is is a blatant attempt to scare you into joining up with them. Don't fall for it. Use the reason God gave you.

Summary: Great!
Review: Only The Triumph and the Glory was as stunning a book as LEFT BEHIND. I usually only read historical fiction but this stuff is FUTURE history so I guess that counts. The Rapture hits and the world starts reeling towards Judgement Day and Jenkins and LaFaye takes us along for the ride. Buy this book, you won't be sorry.

Summary: Good read, but be careful
Review: If you are looking for a challenging read, look elsewhere. If you are looking to supplement a Bible study, look elsewhere.

This is fast paced fiction -- one can skim the pages in half a day, wondering where the rest of the book is. As a man who prefers vivid detail and heavy plot and character developments, this was not my cup of tea. But the topic itself was enough to hold my interest.

The purpose of the book is blatant and commendable. I'm not sure that it gives an accurate foretelling of the rapture, and neither do many other readers. Although I most closely associate with Bible Churches, I don't think the authors give Catholics enough credit; all denominations are flawed somehow (are you not a sinner?), and I do know Catholics who are devout Christians. Other facts in the book are also subject to debate.

So, before you read this book, please try not to take every idea presented in this fictional piece as fact, although some ideas do ring true. Only God himself knows exactly how things will pan out, and if you'd like to search for the truth read the scriptures for yourself. The Bible isn't fiction!

Summary: Captivating Fiction Based on Scriptural Truth
Review: I have just finished this book and have started on the second book in the series "The Tribulation Force". Although the book is slow at first, the further into the book you read, the more interesting and captivating it becomes. What makes this book special is the fact that it is based on Bibilical teachings found in Revelation and other books of the Bible such as Daniel and Isaiah. The events depicted in this book are representative of events THAT WILL ACTUALLY OCCUR. While the authors are not themselves prophets in any way, the story they tell comes close to what we can expect to happen. I know that this may sound like hogwash to non-Christians (those who have not been born-again); however, the fact that you choose not to believe does not make it any less true that events very similar to these will occur in human history. You simply need to take a look at what is transpiring in our world today to see that the authors' interpretation of Biblical prophecy is right on track. What makes this book different is the fact that, while is is fiction, it is based on TRUTH. Biblical truth. I have noticed that several individuals have recommended the book, "The Last Day" as a better, more thrilling read than "Left Behind". I have not read that book, but having read its reviews I can tell you that it is not based on the Bible. It may be a real thriller in the world of fiction, but when you consider that "Left Behind" represents what will actually happen, "Left Behind" (and the rest of the series) is a life-changing experience. I highly recommend it to anyone. Believers will rejoice in their faith and will have that faith strengthened while non-believers are in for a great story. But be warned: it might change your life (for the better)!

Summary: Unfair to compare Left Behind to Last Day
Review: I think that comparing any of the Left Behind series to Kleier's doomsday novel, The Last Day, is a mistake. Kleier's novel is a rivetting read and one of the finest suspense thrillers I've ever read, but I don't think it was intended to be a religious novel, per se. Left Behind is, and it creates the sort of gut-level religious awe many people are looking for. Last Day is more a thinking man's Judgment Day story. It creates an awe of a different kind, more provocative and profound, not so visceral, more mental. These books are different pieces of literature intended for different purposes. Very worthwhile, each in their own way.

Summary: A breakthrough in Christian literature!
Review: Although I would not call the book a literary masterpeice, it is a mind riveting book that puts the apocalypse into perspective. I was attached to the book, and the series, ever since I picked up the first book. It can realy rekindle one's faith. I recommend this book to both Christians and people who are confused in faith/

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Pretty good thriller
Review: This is a pretty good thriller, as Judgment Day books go, but rather lightweight, I felt. Of the dozen or so Apocalyptic books I've read, by far the most interesting, scariest and heaviest hitting is The Last Day, by Glenn Kleier. Provocative but uplifting, The Last Day brings far more realism and excitement to this tricky theme than Lahaye/Jenkins. At no time do any of the Left Behind novels raise themselves to the level of Last Day.
