Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Finally - a series I can look forward to reading! Review: A friend introduced me to this series, and I am awed. After reading "Left Behind", the first book, I am already questioning my faith. The prose could be a bit deeper, but it's fluffiness makes it all that more readable to the average reader. The characters are well developed, with feelings and instincts that are totally understandable. Rarely has a book made me reflect inward, this one certainly has. I've already started "Tribulation Force" and I'm anxious to see where it leads me. I haven't looked forward to a sequel so much since Stephen King's "The Green Mile." I recommend a quiet room, reading light, a cup of tea and plenty of time - you'll want to keep turning the pages on this one.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Great topic, but characters rather cliched and wooden Review: Are Rayford Steele and Wilson Lindberg (in The Triumph and Glory) the same guy ? The similarities are eerie, they're both rather corny and predictable but you like them anyway, or maybe it's because they are obviously the good guys, or maybe it's just because they're both pilots who find themselves in a heap of trouble. Anyway, I tried real hard to like Left Behind because I appreciate wholesome books with strongly positive role models, they are all too few and far between these days, yet despite an admiration for Steele (based upon intangible and hard to explain reasons (see above)I found Left Behind rather hard to admire (except for plucky Rayford). The book was agenda-driven, and seemed awfully contrived much of the time, the characters didn't seem to have wills of their own, they were puppets dancing to the tune of the lock-step plot. But I see that a lot of people really liked it! That's fine, we all have our own taste. Three stars is the best I can do for this one, folks.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: intriguing, thought provoking, it will change your life Review: I thought that their account of the last days with scriptural references was inspiring. I couldn't wait to read the second volume. If you are interested in saving your soul, this is a good place to start.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: It's inspiring!!! Great reading Review: Left Behind is one of the most amazing books I've read. True, it is fiction, but it is not shallow or lacking plot, or character development for that reason. If you don't find these books interesting and exciting, I'd like to find out what you consider good reading. The rest of the series continues to be great as well. I've read the "classics" (fiction & non-fiction) but this is different. It's interesting, enticing, and paints a picture of difficult Bible prophecy in a realistic way.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Awesome book!!! Review: This book is a must read. I had heard that it was good but was unprepared for how it totally drew me in. I was shocked, I cried, and as the characters each grew in their faith I felt their joy as if it were my own. If you are a Christian it will make you evaluate yourself and if you're not it might make you stop and think. I read this book in less than a day and I'm already anxious to start the next in the series. Don't let this book pass you by!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: No better book Review: I have read all the Left Behind Books and found each book to have excellent characters that have believable conversions and life stories. Any person that believes that being converted to Christ takes a considerable amount of time needs to know and understand more about God. The plot is a great eye opener to the book of Revelations and make the future all the more clear. I have read many books and find the authorship of this series amoung the best. These two men are blessed and I suggest every person needing to find truth to read these books and follow the struggles of these characters in the time that is near. Go and get these books and you will get hooked to the life and death situations of the Tribulation Force and the World as all is destroyed.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: leave this behind Review: whether or not you are a Christian, all supporters of intelligent discourse will find this bookridiculous. The plot is stolen(From the bible) The characters are absolutely unbelievable and unrealistic. The story suffers from poor pacing. And the dialogue is just silly. If you are looking for a spiritual book, try Herman Hesse's "Siddhartha", a book that shows that true spiritual understanding comes from no organized religion but from inner experiences. As for this, while I think that the attempt to push a Christian book into the public eye noble, the aproach is less than exemplary. This book should be left behind.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: For anyone looking to understand the second coming. Review: I have been at odds with God since the death of my oldest son in 1991. I have been trying to find a purpose to my life since then. I have been angry at no one and everyone. But I have felt my son's presence twice since his death. Both times left me with a feeling that he was not gone but had transformed to the next level. In my quest to come to an understanding of what my faith is, a new-found friend loaned me this book. Not being much of a reader (I am a photographer by trade), I thought it would take me a long time to get through it. I finished it in less than two days. I had a tough time putting it down at night and the first thing I wanted to do in the morning was start again. I don't know where it will lead but I can't wait to get the remaining volumes to come to a better understanding of the book of Revelations.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Excellent writing, authors were inspired for this time. Review: I could not put the book down, starting with the very first "Left Behind". It kept me on edge until the very end. I have met others and it is the topic of the year, if you haven't read it you will. It is a book that is easy to read, and you are able to identify with the people in the book. Every crisis you feel you are there with them. This book is for us in the 1990's, I am glad to have my copies. I plan to deliver copies to my family by the end of the year. This series of books "Left Behind" is a self examining book, and makes you focus on WHO you are, WHAT you are doing and WHERE you are going. Looking forward to the next novel in Spring 2000.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: "charismatic but lacking in fundamentals" Review: After reading the first 1/3, I thought it was charismatic but lacking in fundamentals. After finishing the book, this inclination was confirmed.
