Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A teacher from W.P.B, FL. History instructor 10/9/99 Review: This book is the first of a series. It captivates your interest from the first page and each series continues the excitement. The book is so intense you will dream extentions of it, and your stomach will drop like it does when shooting down a rollercoaster ride. I just finished the 5th book, and you never get bored of the characters because their is always something enticing and new. The book is fairly easy reading, yet full of intense thought and emotion. It is the best fictional novel I have ever read! All of my friends and family are reading it too. Make the choice!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Fantastic! I could not put it down... Review: I loved this book. I found the content to be right on target with scripture. The book has characters that are interesting and keep you wondering what's going to happen next. Just when I thought I figured out exactly what was going on, I was thrown a curve. I can't wait to start the next book to see if my suspicions are correct!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: It will inspire you to search your soul. Review: This book will leave you searching your own spiritual life. It gave me goosebumps. Although not all will agree with the details, the general plot is definitely enough to cause one to think. It is truly worth reading. It doesn't matter how versed in scripture you are. The other books in the series are worth the time and investment also. I enjoyed the first two books in the series the most, but all are worth reading.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: How will you explain being left behind? Review: This brings it up front and "in your face". How will you survive when all of the so called "good people" are gone. There is the sudden realization that the Rapture could happen at any time, and you can't wait until tomorrow to be ready for it. It takes the mystery out of Revelations and brings it front and center. A paralyzing read.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Powerful Review: This book is by far the best book that I have ever read. It was powerful and life changing. Oprah should put it on her list!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Not Just Another End Times Story! Review: The best of this series from Lahaye & Jenkins, even though 'Left Behind' is my favorite. The following books in this series are weaker in plot and writing, but the story goes on. Whoever you believe in, Christ, Mohammad, or UFOs, this is a well thought out, researched, and imaginative book. Not every Christian will agree with every premise in this book, but that's not unusual. The characters, plot development, and mystery unfolds as you turn the pages. By comparison, Brad Steiger's new book 'Alien Rapture' is the alter-alternative to the Christian Rapture with a great sinister government woven in. The following books in this series after 'Left Behind' are not near as good. Being a student of theology, and believing that UFOs have something to do with 'The End Times', I have read both 'Left Behind' and 'Alien Rapture' books numerious times. I loan them out as a pair. Yes, indeed, buy it. Unusual and excellent reading.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: LOVED IT Review: Once I got about half way through the book I knew that I would need to order the next book right away so that I could read it fast. I blew throught this book in about 4 hours (that's fast for me). Like Mike Trout (Focus on the Family) says on the back of the book "this is a book that will change your life.....I promise!" it will.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Well thought out story with a few problems. Review: The authors have a great story. They have wonderful characters that you want to care for, but the way the story is written they seem shallow. There are a few technical problems in the story, and while everyone has some profession or is college educated, at times they seem kind of dumb. Now while I have said the characters are shallow, the story is really good. The authors should treat the characters like real people. Can't wait for the next installment.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A wonderful series! Review: At the time I wrote this review, there were 794 other reviews... I couldn't read them all, but almost found myself wanting to reply to those who didn't like it! The majority of the reviews were very positive. I loved the series, and it changed my life. I finished the whole series in less than three weeks, and have recommended it to everyone I know. Yes, it is based on the book of Revelation, and yes, it's considered Christian literature. The beauty of the Left Behind series is its simplicity. Some mentioned that the writing was far too simplistic... I have a college education, have been extremely successful in my life, yet I still enjoy reading books that are down to earth... The series speaks to the heart, for those who are willing to hear it. Hooray for Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins--I can't wait until the next book in the series!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Intense! Gripping! I Loved It! Review: I have been reading the "Left Behind" series ever since the first one (Left Behind, book 1) came out in 1995, and I have enjoyed practically every one of them, some more than others. I really enjoyed reading "Left Behind" because it kind of set the tone for the rest of the series, which was intense, it holds your attention, the characters were highly believable (I think), but more than that, it causes you to think about your place in this world and the world to come. I find some of the reviews on this board rather interesting, though, especially the one-star and two-star reviews. Some of the reviewers sound as though they really want to can Mr. LaHaye and Mr. Jenkins because of the message they are bringing, which isn't a particularly pleasant one, admittedly. These men are not prophets, folks. They are merely writers with a timely message, a very timely message, let me emphasize. They are accused of being unloving, intolerant, bigoted, etc., none of which I sense in any of their books. They are trying to sound a warning by way of a series of popular novels that time is fast running out, and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is VERY near. And I find it very strange how we react to various warnings given by a variety and diversity of persons throughout society. For instance, if someone warns us of the pollution of our waterways, most of us would want to sit up and take notice and want to do something about it. Or, if someone warns us of the pollution of the air that we breathe, by and large most of us are willing to listen. And yet again, if someone sounds a warning about the dangers of overpopulation (which a lot of us believe but I do not), a lot of us are willing to listen. It's as if we are saying that the pollution of our waterways, forests, air, the survival of lower creatures are somehow more important than the pollution of our souls. And let me say to the negative reviewers out there that ALL religions or faiths practice a form of intolerance because you have to make a final decision. We are not being intolerant, we just believe that Jesus Christ is The Way, the Truth, and The Life. So if this marks me as "intolerant", I'm sorry, but that's the way it is. And please, read the "Left Behind" books with an open mind and an open heart because your life, literally, depends on it.
