Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: An awsome book on the truth of our future Review: Having met Tim LaHaye in person and spoken with him, I would have never realated him to this Book. He is a very polite and old fashion. He suggested "Left Behind" to me. so I bought a few copys for myself and friends. I have to admit it took me two and a half months to pick up the book. In only six days I have read ten chapters, and that is good for a non-reader like myself. I don't have great expertise on writing, but I didn't much like the style. The bouncing back and forth between characters was a good touch, it keeps you reading, but the text or word choice I could do without. Over all I enjoy the book and look forward to finishing the series.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Pedestrian and hackneyed. Review: I had great expectations when I ordered this book. I tend to like apocolyptic novels and tales with international intrigue and this fit the bill. I really love stories that interpret and contemporize prophecies, biblical or otherwise. With this in mind I thought that I would love this book. Suffice it to say that I did not.The writing is poorly paced. I went from speeding through a twenty page portion in a matter of minutes to agonizing over a five page passage. The writing is repetitive. What is it about Bruce that makes everyone he instructs on the Tribulation "take down notes as fast as he possibly could"? Isn't there another way to phrase this. Further, this sounds silly but the overall characterization was entirely unrealistic. I did not identify a single character (even on the fringe) who was embittered by the loss of family members. A typical reaction upon losing a family member to death, which the rapture was in a way, is anger and bitterness; the "why me/what kind of God would let this happen" reaction. This book had no such reactions. With the exception of Carpathia, the characters were either continuing their life as usual or born again. Finally, other readers have testified to the speed with which they finished reading the book. I had the same experience but only because I wanted to get to my next read (not a Left Behind sequel) and I hate leaving any book, no matter how unreadable, unfinished. This was a great idea but very poorly executed.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I wish everyone could read this book Review: This book tells us what is in store for the future. I pray it will change the hearts of everyone who reads it and they will not be in the number of those left behind.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I thought it was a very well put together piece. Review: This is a definate must read. To some it may be scary because they don't know for sure where they're going. But every body needs to know where they will spend eternity. I just pray that the people who read this book will look in the Bible for the scriptures, then they will see the truth and not just the imagination of the two authors of Left Behind.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Fascinating! Review: This is one of those books that I aboslutley could not put down. In fact, I was late to my morning class today trying to finish it!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Excellent book; Very thought provoking Review: This book and the complete series is an awesome telling of what the rapture and tribulation might be like. Any christian should enjoy reading this book. I could hardly wait to read the next installment.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The best book ever Review: This is the best book ever! It was so addictive that I had to force myself to put it away so I could sleep. After reading it, I couldn't wait to find out what happened to Rayford, Buck, Chloe, Bruce, Hattie, and Nicolae, that I went right out and bought "Tribulation Force."
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Brilliant !! The best series that I have ever read !! Review: For ANYONE who has even the slightest interest in what "the end" may be like ! And of course absolutly invaluble for anyone with an interest in Biblical prophesy. As a Christian , I did not read any Christian fiction novels because I was hooked on Stephen King, and Dean Koontz. I was always afraid that they would be "inferior". Boy was I wrong !! This series is the ABSOLUTE BEST reading that I have ever done!! The normal novel usually takes me Three weeks to read , but the longest time I took to read any book in this series is 2 DAYS! I am also eagerly awaiting the next book AND "Left Behind - The Movie" soon to begin filming. Buy this book for someone you love today !!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Do you want to be left behind? Review: Left Behind is a novel that is fiction in its characters only. The novel takes you through the entire book of Revelations in the bible and how the Rapture affects the lives of those left behind. The message of self-evaluation is very powerful. I would recommend reading the next 5 books in the series. Tribulation Force,Nicolae Soul Harvest, Appalon, and Assassin.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Intriguing Review: If someone had told me a month ago I would be reading books characterized as "christian/inspirational" I would've laughed. But the story in Left Behind (and Tribulation Force, at least as far as I've got) is quite compelling even if you do not consider yourself a religious person. The manner in which the characters deal with trying circumstances and drastic changes in their world and outlook would be interesting to anyone. In addition, the religious aspect has sparked many interesting debates among my friends and family. Any book that can do that is worth reading. :)
