Rating: Summary: Christianity is not the only religion Review: I was intrigued with the concept and somewhat enjoyed the narrative, but after finishing it, I felt as if I had just been preached to by a propagandist. I am catholic and I suggest you DO NOT read this book. If races were substituted for the religions in this book, it would be the most racist book I ever read. Jews and Muslims are the enemies to salvation. Buddhists are somewhat spared because they believe that there once was a prophet named Jesus. Russia as the evil empire? Please. Even good, god-loving people do not experience the rapture because they have not been "born-again." This is a dangerous cult in the making and the weak and the shallow will flock to it.
Rating: Summary: Garbage Review: Fluff. Not bad if you want to kill some time, but to take this FICTION as truth telling the end of the world is to ignore billions of years of evidence to the contrary- the world isn't about to end, folks.Jesus' point was to be good to one another, not to run about willy-nilly, feeling superior that you're going to be taken in the Rapture!

Rating: Summary: Excellent book & interesting reading Review: Great book (series) that brings the Book Of Revelation closer to comprehension in everyday terms.
Rating: Summary: Exceptional and Real Review: Left Behind makes you think! If you have any knowledge of End Times then you can not dispute the real life view points to this novel. The Characters are every day people just like you and I. It's believable and gives the reader time to ponder and reflect. I encourage everyone to read this book. Believe it or not this book will come true. Read your Bible and see what it has to say.
Rating: Summary: Too simplistic for most who need to hear the 'message'. Review: Arrogance is surely as wrong as lust, greed, and a host of other sins. Yet even before we get to the authors' message, we read [in the dedication] "For Alice MacDonald and Bonita Jenkins [the authors'mothers(?)], who ensured we would not be left behind". As a born-again Christian, I too hope I won't be left behind, but I have no way of knowing how God views my sins and whether my repentance is real. Only God knows the heart. And only God knows who will, and will not, be left behind.
Rating: Summary: Spiritually Uplifting! Review: I couldn't stop listening to this book. I bought the first audio book because I had a long drive and it looked interesting. Now I have read some of the other reviews, and I don't know if the audio version is that much more "alive" but I could feel all the emotions that the characters were going through. At times I forgot that I would not be one of those left behind. This book, and the rest, are going through all my friends' hands. I don't want any of them to be Left Behind. I am so excited to read that there will be 6 more in the series. I will run out and buy each as soon as they hit the bookstores!
Rating: Summary: Interesting topic, but poorly written Review: While I've continued to read the series, I find myself constantly complaining about the poor quality of the writing. I don't think this would have been published if not for the religious angle. I think the the concept for the series (explaining Revelations) was a great idea, I only wish the books had been written by someone who could write. There is no character development, and the story is almost entirely conveyed through dialogue. Characters are clumsily introduced, you hear nothing about them for chapters, then suddenly they are marrying a main character. It's amazing. I still keep reading though, although I'm having a hard time justifying spending any more money on something so poorly written.
Rating: Summary: Intriguing! Review: I have just finished reading the highly acclaimed Left Beind.I rarely read novels, but due to the enthusiasm of several goodfriends and the experience of seeing it change the lives of people I know, I decided to read it. I couldn't put it down. In fact, I'm half way through the second book! While the book is no literary masterpiece it is worth the time invested. The charaters are real, the premise theologically accurate, and the suspense captivating. I recomend it! I feel bad for the people who had nothing nice to say about this book. Oh well, their loss!
Rating: Summary: A truely great fiction based on scripture! Review: I have read some of the reviews of this book and decided I most add mine as well. I think the book is wonderful, and is a good tool to "wake up" the non-believer. This book does not take away from nor add to the book of Revelations and does not "attack" specific religions. It portrays events the way they might occur if Christ returned during this generation. It is based on God's Word. If nothing else it intrigues a person to search deeper in the bible for answers.
