Rating: Summary: Well written account of what the last days on earth may be. Review: The fictional "Left Behind" stories by Tim Lahaye and Jerry Jenkins and "Transfer: The end of the beginning" by Jerry Furland are both works of fiction and are both well written accounts of what the last days on earth may be like. Where "Left Behind" deals with a person's own personal beliefs and choices, "Transfer" is a more technologically accurate picture of how our choices may be made for us by a government intent on forcing a transition from paper money to a cash-less, trackable monetary system. Rating: Summary: One of the best books I've ever read! Review: Wow, this book was awesome. It was by far one of the best books I've ever read. It really made me think about how precious every moment is. Don't buy it thinking you'll only read one...the ending of Left Behind forces you to buy Tribulation Force. It's definitely worth it though. Awesome book!
Rating: Summary: How many sequels are there going to be? Review: Shouldn't the fact that they are going to come out with so many sequels suggest to you that the authors are in this solely for the money? Also, I find the author comment quite characteristic. All he (JBJ) can talk about is the number of copies sold... Now there is a real writer! As for the book, if you like "National Enquirer", you will love this.
Rating: Summary: Finally a book with Class... Review: Being a younger reader, I thought that this book, as well as the sequels, were exciting and very accurate. I think that the only reason people wouldn't like this book is because it doesn't have sex, drugs, homosexuality and sin written all over it. This book has CLASS... It just proves that a story doesn't need sin to be interesting and informative, this book is awesome and I would reccomend it for Christians as well as those who are still looking for Christ.
Rating: Summary: The best I have read in years, an attention getter & keeper! Review: I had doubts at first but the more I read, the more I was interested in the bible too! I checked with the bible against the story and the facts are there. I don't want to be left behind, but to get a perspective of how it may be, gave me the push I needed to get more involved with God, Jesus, and the Bible. I could hardly put these books down. I have read all that are available now and am excited to read future ones too! Keep in mind that we don't know when He will come for his true believers, Be Prepared! Don't worry about Y2K, be prepared for J2R! (Jesus to Return)Thanks Tim & Jerry, keep up the great job!
Rating: Summary: I highly recomend this book. Review: This book gives a estimated truth about what would happen tothe world if the bible's events turn out to be true and how the peoplewould react.
Rating: Summary: This book introduces a series-best selling-but not the best. Review: Left Behind will convict those who are already believers. It will bring a modern life to an ancient text. But does it deliver? For those on the fence in matters of faith and millennial anxieties, for those who see the hand of man as well as the forces of Satan in this planets destiny, "Transfer-the end of the beginning" is a much more credible vision of what is really happening. I will never read the paper, watch the news, or surf the net in the same way again. Jerry Furland delivers the whole package in Transfer. I enjoyed Left Behind but I was riveted by Transfer. Read them both-you decide.
Rating: Summary: And the Truth Shall Make you Free! Review: This book brought the Book of Revelations to a better understanding for me. Lahaye teaches that prophecy isn't as difficult to understand as most people try to make it. In fact, in his newest book, "Are we living in the end times", he teaches that 80% of prophecy should be taken literally. Many people may feel threatened by this series because the truth may scare them. There is no such thing as an atheist, we all believe in something. Whether it be the god of money or intellectuallism, etc. or the one and only true God who sent his son, Jesus.
Rating: Summary: Eye-Opener Review: This book made me take a closer look at myself and my relationship with the Lord. More than anything I want to be ready when He (Jesus) comes back for His church. If you have not read this book, I encourage you to do so. It will open your eyes to the book of Revelations. This book is excellent
Rating: Summary: I would give it more stars if I could. Review: This book has changed many lifes around me. Jesus is coming again and it is good to know there are others out there who love him as much as I do. This book is exciting and uplifting. If Jesus comes again in my life time I want to be taken up with him.
