Summary: Absolutely brilliant
Review: It has been a couple of days now since I finished Fisherman's Hope. I must say that it one of the most hard-hitting and emotive "sci-fi" novels I have ever read (and I don't read much sci-fi). I loved it. The inter-relationships between the characters and the whole attitude of the main character, Nick Seafort, is just brilliant, executed with a passion that brings him to life. Thank you David Feintuch for your portrayal of Nick Seafort. Truly fantastic!

Summary: The ending
Review: My friend handed me this series and I could not put it down. It was great a main character that hates himself, but still tries to do the right thing even though he knows he shouldn't. The attention to duty above honor, the self loathing for it. It was great, Nick is not your standard hero. But it was the epiloge that made the series for me. You'll probably understand when you find out who Nick is talking to while writing his story, it was beautifully writen.

Summary: Fisherman's hope is one of the best scene Starship Troopers.
Review: Nicholas Seafort is a heroic 22nd century intergalactic NAVY captain, who has found himself drawn with his NAVY on a ruthless alien attack as his past becomes herorism as he tries to save Earth from a deadly end of the world.

Summary: Best Scifi book I've read
Review: Not just this book, but all five of the Seafort saga books have been my favourites since i read them. i recommend anyone who likes scifi or navy books to read these. david feintuch has managed to write a series that draws the reader totally into the story. the characters of the story became so real to me and have never departed my memory. This book will make you laugh, cry and keep you on the edge of your seat eagerly turning to the next page. I could write pages and pages of praise for David Feintuch, an inspiration to would-be writers.

Summary: Book 4 of the Seafort saga is Exciting, and mesmerizing
Review: The Seafort saga's fourth volume is exciting, and action packed Just like the previous three. Nicholas Seafort finds his faith, and courage once again tested to it's limits. The storyline is fast moving, and will keep you glued to the book.

Summary: Breathtaking!
Review: This book, above the previous three in the "Seafort Saga," is by far the most incredibly thought-provoking, heart-wrenching, and breathtaking look at the man who plays a hero he never wanted to be. The beginning of the story may be slightly slow, but the end is completely worth it. I think it's amazing that this author can create a true life-blood character out of ink and paper. I won't give a synopsis, because I think the book is its own summary, but speaking as a very big sci-fi advocate, this novel is in a class all its own.

Summary: Terrific
Review: This is the Gadfather Part II of the series. In this book we see flashbacks of Nick's life and time in the academy, we also learn how his father raised him. Nick is now the head of the naval academy. An attack by Nick's alien adversaries causes him to take immediate action. But the only way he can fight them, is with the help of his cadets. The ending of Nick's journal is especially moving.

Summary: The Seafort Saga ends with a flourish
Review: This is the last book in the Seafort saga which actually deals with Nick Seafort himself. Having somehow survived countless alien attacks and the wrath of the Admiralty, he is assigned to the Academy to help train cadets having become an international hero. Those of you who have read the other Seafort books will know what Nick thought of that . . . Once in the Academy he is faced with international crisis and an alien armada advancing on Earth, and hatches a plan to defeat them that will condemn him for the rest of his life. This is a worthy end to the Nick Seafort saga, and it has an interesting twist at the end which will surprise those who have stuck with the series from the beginning.

Summary: Feintuch does it again
Review: You may notice that there are fewer reviews for this book. Please be assured that it is only because all the readers have to catch up on lost sleep :). Feintuch brings us the final first-person Seafort novel with the same power of the others. The final confrontation with the "fish" forces Seafort to make a decision that far surpasses all his previous actions. Just when you think that Nicholas could not possibly torment his soul more than he has, he must go even farther than before. I didn't think that was possible until I read this book. A must for anyone who has read the Hope series.
