Rating: Summary: Not as good as its predecessor, but an excellent read... Review: This is an engaging, fun adaptation of the Arthurian legend, bringing the celebrated ledged to life in modern times. Although it seems to try too hard at times (i.e. Beatrice's blindness/the Moroccan bazaar scenes and the Knights riding Harleys), this book is great summer reading that will appeal to both fans of the legend and casual readers. Read "The Forever King" first, but don't miss this one just because the sequel isn't quite as enjoyable as the first. Others have tried to bring Arthur into the 20th century, and few have done it as successfully as Molly Cochran & Warren Murphy, with perhaps the exception of Stephen Lawhead.
Rating: Summary: Wow... Review: WARNING! Don't read this book when you have an 8 am class. I started reading it at 10 pm and didn't put it down until 5 am! Still, it was worth it. I love the characterization, and the way that everything comes around full-circle. And the Knights of the Round Table kept me laughing the entire time! They're just how I would have imagined medieval knights, and I'm so glad that the authors didn't wimp out on that. Lancelot's still my favorite, though the others grow on you. Don't miss this one! And I can't wait until the sequel comes out!
Rating: Summary: Worth the read Review: While I did not enjoy this book as much as The Forever King, it is a good book - The Forever King dealt much more with King Arthur's Fifth Century Britain and I enjoyed that immensely. The Broken Sword picks up where The Forever King left off in today's time period but it dealt much more with Merlin's story. It just depends on which story you are more interested in. I am very excited about the next book and hope it is published soon. As a side bar, if the authors are reading this review - I would really like to see the stories of Hal's (Galahad) lives through the centuries as he has been reborn looking for Arthur. Very good books! Don't miss them!!
Rating: Summary: better than the first one! Review: Yeah so I'm not usually into sequels but damn, this book kicked so much! I loved the Forever king, but the Broken sword is even better! I love the new characters and when I finished it I was dissapointed. It should've been longer! I wish there had been a sequel to this one as well.
